Patricia “Pat” Bassett

Our Beloved Mother

1930 – 2013

Patricia passed away on January 31, 2013 surrounded by her loving family.

Pat was born on May 7, 1930 in Clovis, New Mexico. She had 6 children, Diana, Chris, Kym, Billy, Becky, and Bren.

Mom was a long time resident of Salt Lake City and she loved living near the beautiful Wasatch Mountains. Pat studied English and History at Weber State University. She was an accomplished artist who was able to capture her subject’s essence in her portraits. She was a voracious reader who always had a stack of books from her local library.

Her cats were an important part of her life.

People were immediately attracted to her magnetic personality. She was witty, sensitive and had a wonderful sense of humor.

She will live in our hearts forever.

Patricia is survived by her five children, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her son, Kym.

The family will be holding a private service.

n lieu of flowers a donation may be made to ASPCA in her honor at www.aspca.org.

My condolences to the Pat's family. I was a resident at American Towers in Salt Lake from 1984 to 1994. One couldn't live there without knowing Pat. She was one of the genuinely warmest, nicest people I've ever known. Sincerely, Bob Christopher

Oh, my lovely leadis! Not only have you made the day for your respective mothers, you have sent some very wise and useful info out into the universe. I hope that lots of young leadis will take advantage of the fact that you are not their mothers! Your genius must not be ignored!
