Patricia Dalgleish

Beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Pat Dalgleish passed pain-free in her sleep early on August 23rd, 2024.

She was a California girl from Belmont Shore who swam confidently in the ocean during her early years. She majored in journalism at Long Beach State followed by the birth of her son Paul and daughter Janet with husband Robert Merrell. She began a career as an insurance adjuster and moved to Salt Lake City, Utah in 1992. She found a community of friends at Wasatch Presbyterian Church.

Shortly thereafter, she found love again and a new life with her marriage to Mac. Together, they enjoyed a lifetime of boating and bridge. They had the pleasure of traveling to many exotic locations and sharing that with one another. All who knew her, loved her easy, unassuming manner, warm smile and loving good nature.

Patricia is survived by her husband, Malcolm; her children Paul (Cara) and Janet (Patrick); Stepchildren, Holladay and Charlie; alongside numerous friends, family members, and loved ones who will miss her dearly.

A viewing to honor her memory will be held 5:30- 8:00 PM on August 29, 2024 at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South, 900 East, Salt Lake City.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to your favorite charity in Patricia’s memory, celebrating her life and the compassion she shared with everyone she knew.
