Patricia May Davis

January 23, 1951 - May 5, 2018

Patricia May Bradley Davis was born on January 23, 1951 in Price, Utah to John Douglass Bradley Sr. and Helen (Rachiele) Bradley. Patty passed away May 5, 2018 at Huntsman Cancer Institute due to breast cancer.

Patty was raised in Helper, Utah and lived in Salt Lake City most of her adult life. She had an outstanding work ethic.  She worked at the University of Utah for 32 years; the majority of those years in the Department of Special Education. Patty happily reached retirement last year.

Patty's biggest accomplishment was raising her two daughters as a single mom. Her daughters were always her top priority and she sacrificed so much to provide a good, stable life for them.

Patty was kind and loving toward all people regardless of their background or situation. She had a keen ability to read others' moods and feelings. She was an extraordinary listener and befriended others when they needed it the most.

Patty is survived by her two daughters Rain (Drew) Gibbs and Tarah (Rob) Stowell; four grandsons Gavin, Austin, Skylar, and Micah; two brothers John (Lynn) Bradley, Jr. and Eldon Bradley; two nieces; and many wonderful aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her father John and mother Helen.

Please come pray with us at her Funeral Mass which will be celebrated on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at 11:00 AM at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 1375 East Spring Lane, Salt Lake City. All are invited to celebrate Patty's life later that evening from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City. Guests are encouraged to use the complimentary valet parking on the north side of the building. A graveside committal will be held on Sunday, May 20, 2018 at 12:00 PM at the Helper City Cemetery.

Special thanks to the Huntsman Cancer Institute over the past five months. In lieu of flowers please donate to breast cancer research.

In Loving Memory

Dearest Rain, Tarah, Eldon and John, Patty was a very special lady. She was always happy and had the cutest little giggle! I enjoyed working with her and she was a very hard worker. She loved her family so very much and was excited to be a Grandmother. I just learned she was sick and I wish I could have been a comfort for her. Patty will be missed by so many people whose lives she touched. Our hearts are broken as I know yours are. Take care! Jackie

Dear family, I met you all last year at your mother's retirement party, here at the University. She was such a loving and kind person and I am happy to say we enjoyed time together outside of work. There are no words to express how sorry I am that she has left us. Thank goodness you will have a wonderful time remembering her and especially that laugh!!! With love, Katie

Being Helper people, Patty and I grew up together. How lucky was she to live across the street from the swimming pool! Patty was always happy, always friendly, and always a good friend. The video tribute was beautiful. Rest in peace, my friend. Lynnette Fox Rudman Price, UT
