Rick and Sarah, There are no such things as coincidences and I am so grateful I have had the pleasure of meeting you and Patty when I did.  You have brightened my life and shown me the definition of true and eternal love.  Your friendship and laughter has meant the world to me during the last year and a half and I treasure the memories that have been made.  Find joy in knowing Families are Forever and your most fierce Guardian Angel earned her wings last Monday. Always, Lynnette

Rick and Sarah, I grew up with Patty and loved her the moment we met. Her light was bright and her heart the warmest. The last time I saw her, and met you Rick, was at our high school reunion, which I believe was shortly after the release of her book. I was so incredibly proud of my friend! And when I watched her interview on .... The Today Show? I was over the top excited for her! I tried to track her down over the years and so wish I would have been successful. My heart is broken and my deepest sympathies to you both, the entire family, and her friends. I know her light only got brighter and her love of family and life stronger. I will keep you close to my heart. I love you Patty.  Carla

I went through kindergarden all the way through high school with Patty. She was a close friend all the way through school - terrific family and Parents that were unmatched in their faith and their raising of the children. I remember that Carla Hicklin & I were invited to her wedding which was at St Mary's Church in Oskaloosa Iowa...hometown. If I remember correctly they had a priest from Arizona or another SW state that they wanted to have do the Wedding. She was so happy and so giddy with that process it was totally infectious. Such a great wedding. Then of course the book and all that came with that. Small town girl makes it BIG.! Fast forward to a day or 2 ago and I see a post by John Anton on a friends posting on Facebook. I PM message him and asked John if he might be from the Anton family from Oskaloosa. He wrote me back today that he was indeed from that family and asked if I knew about Patty. He told me she had just passed to Eternal Life and that her Funeral was this very day. I was floored. Talk about a God Moment. I promised John that I would pray for the repose of her soul and for all the remaining family & friends. I also mentioned that Patty's mother stood by my mother and us kids in a trying time of my Father's passing way back in  6-8-83. Patty's mother led prayer and spiritually held us togther in those very hard moments...something I have never forgotten. To this day I can see her at the foot of the bed leading us in prayer - what a Saint.! Patty held the same regard - the same faith from all that knew her. She was a terrific friend with a very keen mind. I will miss her. She was one of a kind. GodSpeed Patty - may you see the Face of God for Eternity.!!!

Patty was a friend in high school where we shared the same home room.  Always a smile on her face and such a sweet spirit. From the picture video, it is easy to tell she was a very happy, content person with wonderful family ties. I pray your faith will sustain you in her loss knowing that she is now with our Lord.   Blessings, Sharee Allee Walter
