Patricia (Patty) Thomas Miller
May 23, 1939 - July 13, 2023
My husband used to say, “If I wasn't so bossy, I'd be perfect.” Well, I never made it that far, but I've had a wonderful fulfilling life, thanks to my awesome parents Armand and Ruby Thomas.
I grew up riding and showing horses, watiressing at my parents' restaurant and modeling for various stores in and out of town. For 35 years I did interior design for Clark Learning and my best friend Robert Brain. I found my talent in oil painting late in my life.
My husband Bruce who loved me as I loved him predeceased me in 2020. We shared 55 wonderful years together and were able to travel over a great part of our world. My dear son Ryan Thomas Miller who has given me my worst headaches, has also been a great help to me. I love him to death. He has also given me two beautiful granddaughters, Tessa and Daphne Miller, both of whom I am crazy about. I also cherish my beautiful artist niece, Stephanie St Thomas (Tom Scharlow) and my brother Craig Michael Thomas who has helped me so much. I truly thank him.
I was fortunate to play bridge with the most fabulous women you could ever meet at the Salt Lake Country Club and the Cottonwood Club. I served as a board member with Utah Hogle Zoo and was a member of a women's group, ERDC (Education Resource Developement Council) connected with the University of Utah.
I have been so lucky in this life, except for COPD (emphysema) from smoking in early life that got me.
CIAO, my friends!
In Loving Memory
Thanks for your generosity in bringing the geese (Frick and Frack) to the lake at Old Farm. Also thank you for your painting of those same geese that hangs in our living room wall. Loved your art in general. Cecilia and I will miss you. Your heart has imprinted itself at the lake. Rest in Peace Patty with Bruce-the love of your life.
