Paula Jean Madsen
February 2, 1957 - July 11, 2023
Paula Jean Stewart Latimer Madsen passed away suddenly on July 11, 2023 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born on February 2, 1957 in Payson, Utah to parents Glenn and Ruth Stewart. Paula married John Latimer in 1977 (deceased). Paula later married Richard Madsen on October 2, 1987. An adorable courtship that began with an evening bike ride led to the joining of two families and a 35 year marriage.
Paula had been an avid bowler, participating in many tournaments and was a member of the Ladies City Bowling League. She was an excellent cook, master seamstress and had a stubborn personality that was second to none. She lived life on her own terms. She was always quick with a joke and a light of her smoke, and always helped her children when they called in a panic with a cooking question.
Paula was adopted by Glen and Ruth and later in life she had the joy of meeting her remaining biological siblings and learning the details of her biological family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her youngest son, Chris, her daughter, Shar and first husband, John. She is survived by her 8 children, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, her sisters and brothers, The Moody Blues, and her loving husband, Richard, who always put up with her bullshit.
Paula will be laid to rest on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at 10:00 AM at West Jordan Cemetery, 7800 South 1300 West, West Jordan.
