Peyton Wayne Kawika Howell
“Our Little Superhero”
Our precious angel from heaven passed away Saturday, January 14, 2012 from cardiopulmonary failure. Peyton was born February 27, 2006 at 24 weeks weighing in at 1 lb. 7 oz. and was 12” long. He spent the first 9 months of his life in the hospital surrounded by family, nurses and doctors who loved him dearly. From the moment he was born, he had an incredible will to live and survived difficult medical challenges. In spite of his challenges, he was always happy, pleasant and never complained.
Every single person that came in contact with Peyton could feel of his overwhelming sweet spirit and instantly fell in love with him. He brought immeasurable joy to his family and all that knew him. Peyton and his four year old brother Carson were best friends; they were inseparable. They were always there for one another. Peyton had so much energy and was so smart; he was always so eager to learn and was fascinated with numbers and letters. He loved his iTouch, the computer and his grandma’s iPad. He loved jumping, running, swimming and wrestling with his many cousins who dearly loved him.
Peyton taught us all so much about the simple joys of life. He is survived by his parents David Howell (Melissa Roberts), Megan Meredith Howell (Tyler Blakley); his younger brother Carson; his grandparents Doug and Shawna Meredith, Brent and Haunani Howell; great grandparents; many aunts; uncles and cousins.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate Peyton’s life on Thursday, January 19th from 6 to 8 PM at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 20th at 11:00 AM at the Copperhill 1st Ward, 4195 South 6000 West, West Valley City. Interment to follow at Taylorsville City Cemetery, 4500 S. Redwood Rd., Taylorsville.
In Loving Memory
David, Melissa and Carson I am so sad for your loss and cannot imagine the sorrow you are feeling. I pray for you during this time and long after as you feel the emptiness in your hearts from this loss. I cannot even come to imagine what you are feeling. I hope through your faith you know there is a plan for Peyton and that he is in a better place being taken care of. Love and support go out to all of you and if there is anything you need - please know I will always offer support.

To all of Peytons Family Thank you for the opportunity to know your sweet Peyton! I have driven Peyton to and from school for the past two years. He was such a wonderful little boy, with such a sweet spirit. I also drive three other children every day with Peyton and the little girl I drive would always say "I Love Peyton" almost every afternoon when I would get her out of the van. It is so true that everyone felt of his great spirit! I LOVE PEYTON, TOO...

I am so sorry to hear of Peyton's passing. My daughter Audrey is in 1st grade at Millcreek and has become special friends with Peyton over this past year. They became friends in the luch room and from there started playing together at recess. She talked about him often at home and I am just sad that I never had the chance to meet him in this life. Your family will be in our thoughts and prayers.

David and Family, My heart aches with yours at the loss of such a little miracle child as Peyton. I never had the chance of meeting Peyton but I can tell from all the photos and comments made about him that he had a very special place in your hearts. I know as has been mentioned that Faith in God's plan ensures the knowledge that Peyton is surrounded by many special people who have already passed from this life and are also holding a special place in their hearts for such a wonderful boy as he was. I know he will continue to love his family and watch over them from beyond this life. My Prayers are with you all.

To Payten : I remeber a day when we were at your house and you and I were on that red couch you had a white afghan and you would pull it over your head as if you were hiding . I would sneak and pull it off and your words I will never forget "Oh man" as we did it again and again ! I love and miss you little man ...

Just wanted to say when I was with Peyton last he was such full of high spirit. Being such a big helper-he helped me push a baby carriage for Meliisa's sister Andrea's baby girl at the corn maze last November. My girls and I had so much fun over the summer splashing with him in the pool at Melissa's. I am glad that I got to know and love Peyton. He will be dearly missed but his sweet spirit will still live in our hearts.

Vickus,I agree, one man can make a lot of difference. Why look at what George W. Bush did to alsmot destroy this country in eight years? Oh that's right, he had help with that war criminal Dick Cheney to help him out. who BTW doesn't know when to shut up. But then you conservatives all were asleep during that eight years and you all now want to blame Obama for everything. What a convenient loss of memory. As far as I'm concerned, Obama has done a good job as president; his one mistake was trying to compromise with the Republicans who aren't interested in compromise, only in making the super rich even richer. Well hopefully the American people are fed up of the Republican's crap about trickle-up economics (not trickle-down, that's for sure) after more than 30 years of failure and will finally put the Republican Party to rest in its long-awaited grave. Time for a system that ends the influence of Big Money on our government and on our country.
