Quinn Ernest Prymek

July 8, 1982 - May 12, 2016

Quinn was born on a beautiful summer day, July 8, 1982. No words can express the joy he brought into the lives of his mother, Barbara Talbot, and his father, Roy Prymek, not to mention his big sister, Paige.

Quinn attended school in Murray at Horizon Elementary and Riverview Jr. High. He then moved to West Jordan, where he attended and graduated from West Jordan High, in the year 2000.

His childhood was filled with so many activities, T Ball, Baseball, Football, Soccer (even though he says he just played to get the treat at the end of the game), piano and guitar lessons, dance, karate, birthday parties, family outings, and of course, digging holes and bringing home snakes.

As Quinn became a teenager, his talents and interests were mostly musical. He played the guitar beautifully. He played in bands at the Junior High and High School dances, the youth group worship team at church, and in the garage, must to the chagrin of the neighbors.

Quinn struggled with substance abuse addiction most of his life. He spent time in Florida, recovering and working at rehabs. He made many wonderful friends while there, and grew so strong as he worked to understand his own addiction, and to help others.

He returned to Utah in 2011, where he continued to help and inspire many, many people who were also struggling with addiction. He loved people, and his beautiful, strong, positive spirit made everyone feel loved and wanted. He looked for the best in everyone, never judging.

Quinn was very health conscious. He worked out ceaselessly, ate healthy, and worked hard to encourage others to do the same. His dream was to have his own personal training business, and he was close to achieving that dream. He was motivated and ambitious.

He loved his family, and was happiest when he was with his siblings Paige, Chaz, and Candra; his nieces Candelynne and Taygen; and his many cousins, aunts, and uncles. He was very close to his grandparents, and we like to think they are together again.

Quinn was born with a congenital heart defect, and after 2 open heart surgeries, antibiotic infusions, countless medications, and hospital visits, this condition finally took his life on the evening of May 12, 2016.

There will be a celebration of Quinn's life on Friday, May 20th from 6:00 to 8:00 in the evening at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City. Guests are encouraged to use the complimentary valet parking provided on the north side of the building. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 21st at 11:00 AM also at Starks Funeral Parlor. All are welcome.

His love, encouragement, and words of wisdom will always shine brightly in the lives of all who knew him. His ashes will become a tree that will continue to grow and bring beauty and comfort to those who sit under it.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations in his name to Fit2Recover.org. That is what Quinn would have wanted.

In Loving Memory

Kevin & I will never forget Quinn. He was truly one of a kind... in the best way. He is a lifetime friend with such a beautiful soul. We will miss him so much. We were so proud of him and all that he achieved when moving back home to Utah. He built a great life in Florida . It's hard starting a new life but he did it and did it well. He managed to overcome his obstacles again & built a better life back home while enjoying his family and achieving his dream . He always had a smile on his face & kind words to share with everyone he met. He truly loved people & cared for them , he could make a friend anywhere. He was great at making you laugh. He brought people together. He was definitely a rarity. Heaven gained a wonderful Angel. To his family we are so sorry for your loss . Quinn had a great family. You were all so close and loving to each other and he will continue to stay close by your sides. We will think of you often Quinn and always cherish our memories with you. We love you buddy!
