Ramon G. Feller

September 20, 1932 - December 10, 2023

Ramon Gillette Feller was born in 1932 in Webster, South Dakota to Harlowe and Wilma Feller in farm country. He served in the Air Force where he was stationed in Mississippi. In his twenties, he moved to San Francisco where he met Myrtle Helen Prymak. They were married in 1966, then in 1969 moved to Salt Lake City where they raised their two children, Harlow and Sheila. Ray enjoyed playing bridge, pinochle, and was at ease on any dance floor. He had a strong sense of style as a young man dressing in sharp jackets, hats, and cowboy boots. He worked as a Bridge Game Director throughout the Western Region and went on to administer written tests for the Armed Forces.

Later on, he enjoyed lunch at the local Legion Post, where he's known as “Popcorn”, and making regular trips to Wendover, Nevada. He was an avid duplicate bridge player most of his life and reached Life Master status. He and Myrtle traveled to many tournaments, often directing, throughout Utah and Idaho, from Mesquite and Las Vegas, Nevada to San Francisco, California.

Ray loved reading, jigsaw puzzles, watching sports, road trips, and gardening.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents, sister Connie, children, and wife. He is survived by three siblings and his grandchildren, Shawnessy Harlo Valdez and Thomas Gillette Dorosky. Graveside Service will be held Saturday, Dec 23 1:00 at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Lawn, 1778 E 3300 S. Flower donations are appreciated.

In Loving Memory

I met Ray and Myrtle through the Salt Lake bridge community. I played with Ray many times. He was a fierce competitor but a gentleman at the table. I will miss both Ray and Myrtle. My condolences to his family. Jim Flesher

Myrtle, Ray and myself were Co grandparents to both Shaughnessy and Tommy. It was my pleasure to share them with both of the Fellers. I am sure that Myrtle and Ray have been been reunited with their children, Sheila and Harlow.
