Randy Max Lowder

July 17, 1964 - December 26, 2024

Dear Randy can you hear me?  You left this world so suddenly.  It was not your nature to be so quick about things so I can only assume the timing was perfect and you were ready.  Your little family, Your sweet mom Darla Roberts and Randy Lowder’s little sister (me) Kelly, are here missing you. Only 60 years you stayed with us.  Please know that you were loved and that your sense of humor makes us smile and laugh even now.
The magical photographs you created with your gifted eye surround us.  The beautiful guitars you crafted with your own hands and played so well sit here missing your fingers and your songs. We will cherish your woodwork, for now there will be no more. Who will grow the giant sunflowers at the doorway of our home or the tomatoes that thrived because of your tending?  The life of an artist you lived with a perspective so uniquely your own.
All who are left to remember you, the Trimbles/Hetlands, Moyers, Matthews, Lowders, neighbors, especially Linda & CeCe  and your friend Muzz  will never forget your style and will hold you in their hearts forever.  To honor Randy take care of your precious body, the people you love and the ground you walk on. Be your own artist. Donate to a favorite cause or plant a sunflower for yourself.
A celebration of Randy’s life will be held on Friday, January 17th from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City, UT, where guests are encouraged to use the parking and entrance located on the north side of the bulding.

In Loving Memory

Dear Aunt Darla and cousin Kelly my prayers are with you! I will always be greatful of all the great summers we spent together. Randy was so talented and always a great inspiration to all of us with his wood working skills. He was like my little brother in so many ways. I will miss our birthday phone visits and his witty comments about our age and life we have lived. Bless you all. I love you so much.

Holding you all close to my heart while you navigate an experience that must seem terribly senseless. I only met Randy once when Kelly, Randy and I went skiing. This must have been at least 20 years ago, possibly more. We had a beautiful day filled with good runs and laughter. Much love to those that loved him and blessings to you Randy.

I am very sorry to hear of Randy's passing. It has been over 40 years since I last saw Randy but I have very fond memories of many fun times out on the town during high school! I hope Darla and Kelly find comfort and peace. Sincerely, Tim Tate

Randy was such a wonderful, fun, interesting person, I loved helping him with his shirts and getting to know him. He had such a great sense of style and great sense of humor and it was always a good, fun time to be with him. He is someone we will always remember forever. XO

Dearest Darla and Kelly - I was so shocked to hear of Randy’s death. My heart aches for both of you and I know you will miss him everyday. Randy was such a part of so many Zoo events and I had some great conversations with him and always admired his artistic abilities and skills – none of which did I have. He is firmly planted in my mind as such a vital part of your family and I so enjoyed seeing him at so many events. You are both on my mind and in my prayers. Heaven’s gain is our loss.

Aunt Darla and Kelly- I was so sad to hear about Randy’s passing and even sadder to not be able to come to the funeral home. I got the message after the gathering was over or I for sure would have been there. I have many great memories of you from my youth. I have hated that we haven’t stayed in touch. I would love to reconnect. Love ya, Lisa
