Raymond E. Moody Jr.
February 17, 1952 - June 9, 2014
Bo passed away unexpectedly on June 9th, 2014 while doing what he loved, rafting with his son. He was born February 17th, 1952 to Erma and Raymond E. Moody Sr. in South Carolina.
Bo moved extensively as a child because of his military parents, and ended up graduating from Deridder High School in 1970. He then obtained his Associates in Electrical Engineering from Louisiana State University. As an electrical engineer, he had over 30 years experience in the oil and gas industry where specialized in gas turbines. This career path sent him all over the world.
While working in Rock Springs, Wyoming, he met his loving wife, Gina Spencer. They were married in 2000, and made their home in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Bo was a big-hearted man who always had a way of being your friend.
He was survived by his wife, Gina; his children, Christina (Jeff) Davis, Rachel Spencer, and Thomas Moody. His brother, Steven (Patricia) Moody, and his sister, Lisa Karwin; six grandchildren, Chesney, Saylor, Brecken, William, Shane and Daysen. Along with several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 17th at 11am at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City.
In Loving Memory
So terribly sorry to hear of the tragic loss of Bo. We had only recently reconnected as classmates from DeRidder, class 1970. I remember Bo as kind, good spirited, wonderful classmates. Prayers to the family.
