“Poppie”
He is an old man who lives on a hill
Can’t see much and never will
His hearing is also bad
Together it’ kind of sad
But with a glass in his hand and a smile on his face
He drinks his wine and stays in the Race
He has lived a long life and lived it well
Worked very hard to stay out of hell
Someday the Grim Reaper will come
And say “Old man your time is done”
With a smile on his face and a glass in hand
He will head for the Promised Land
There he will meet his son and his wife
Who were the shining lights in the old man’s life
So fill the glass in your hand and be happy
And reflect on your life with Poppie
P.S. This is what you do when you have too much time on your hands

In Loving Memory
Dear David and Tom, Ray was one of my favorite old guys in the whole world. I loved Ray and Wade more than almost anyone; I thought they were better than most people. My childhood memories are full of your dad's voice, his laugh, your mom's laugh, bridge games, cocktails, croquet. And boys, older boys everywhere! The five of you Cook and Green boys. I remember walking with your folks and mine above Foothill; I suppose it was on the ground where your house was to be built. I always liked your dad's charming way and his quiet sweetness toward me. He would have done great with a daughter. Later, Ray and I bonded over the care and final days of Wade. We saw each other at the hospital, commiserated over circumstances, shared stories, and comforted each other. At your mom's service and at the country club, I was happy to see your dad looking so well and like his old self. Your dad - and your mom - meant so much to me and to my folks. I just wanted to let you know. On the 20th, Chris and I will be in Seattle, meeting up with friends from England. We are godparents to one of their two children, a boy named Rees. Otherwise, Chris and I would be at the service. I guess it's fitting that we'll be off, building memories and trying to be great adults in the lives of 11 year-old Kerensa and her 8 year-old brother. I certainly have some great models to work from. Much love, Barb Guy

I am so sorry for your loss. Raymond was a brother Knight and though I did not personally know him, we shared the common bond of being Knights of Columbus. My thoughts are with you.

Dear Tom and David, My sincere condolences to you in your loss of your Dad. I have so many fond memories of Ray. They come mainly from the association of Ray as my manager and mentor. I learned so much from him in my early years under his instructions and encouragement. That is appreciated as I reflect on those days and times. In my mind's eye, I can envision the wonderful, embracing reunion "on the other side" as he comes into the presence of Lena and Dan! Now those relationship can move forward together. Ray will always have a warm, soft spot with me going forward and I wish you both God's comfort and support in the coming days. With sincere regards, Brent

This was the best day of our lives! Thank you for capturing that for us in these ptriuces. You brought out the best in us in front of the camera. We love the black and white ptriuces. The ptriuces in which you used the flash really turned out nice very creative. Really like the ring picture. It's cool how some of the candid ptriuces turned out (especially the dog and the impromptu kiss on the nose). We were so fortunate to have such great water color especially on Lake Charlevoix and you really used that to an advantage. We've had a lot of great comments from others that have seen the ptriuces. No matter what our future holds in terms of location, we are glad to have some great ptriuces that show off the scenery in the places that we love here in Charlevoix. We are excited to see the rest of the ptriuces! Thanks again.
