In Loving Memory
My heart goes out to all who loved Becca. She was my friend and adopted little sister (at least to us). She had an energy and zest for life that made everyone’s day brighter. She loved her students immensely and gave her best self to them daily. They, in turn, adored and loved her right back. I will forever miss her and pray we will be together again someday. God be with you til we meet again, Becca. I love you. - Lori

There are no words strong enough to express my sorrow over the loss of this luminous young woman. May it give all who loved her some peace to know hers was a life of great worth.

I taught with Becca the first time she was at WPJH. She spread so much joy and happiness at the school. I know that West Point was thrilled to have her return. She will be sorely missed.

She was my 8th grade theater teacher. So funny and silly yet she was still able to control the whole class. I could tell that she loved her job, so excited to teach everyday. I'm graduated now but I hope she knows I've thought of her the past years. I love you Ms. Eskridge.

Our school and district lost a great young teacher who touched the lives of all her students and those of us who had the honor to work with her. I will always remember Becca and the joy she had for teaching. It was just a few weeks ago, Becca and her students presented their great play, “Ax of Murder.” Becca shared her many talents in and outside of the classroom. She was full of energy, creativity, and loved her students. We are deeply saddened by Becca’s death and express our condolences to your family and friends. I have heard from many parents and students who have expressed "Ms. Eskridge was my child's favorite teacher" and "Ms. Eskridge was my favorite teacher." She will be greatly missed. We love you Ms. Eskridge, West Point Jr. High School.

I loved Ms. Eskridge so much. She was always finding a way to laugh at embarrassing moments, and even taught me to laugh at myself. She once performed a scene for the class about a time when there was one actor playing four different people. It was hilarious! I'll never forget her amazing laugh and smile. She also always had a stale kind bar in her bag for me during the play because of my Diabetes. She truly was there for me, and for everyone. I will never forget the small but magnificent act of kindness.

Becca was my cousin, and one of the first people I wanted to talk to after my epilepsy diagnosis in undergrad. Knowing how she handled hers and still led the life she wanted to, I always admired her - even more than I already loved her. She was a wonderful friend and advocate. I would give anything to sit and talk with her again.

Ms. Eskridge was the best teacher I've ever had. She made us laugh, smile, and helped us learn the art of theatre. West Point Jr. High won't be the same without her. I've only known her for less than a year, so I don't have as much room to talk as others here. I send my condolences to her family and those who knew her well. This deeply impacts all of us, and life will never be the same without her. -Levi

Miss Eskridge was one of the best teachers I had. She was always so passionate about her job and worked so well with her students. She had a great smile and seemed to always know what is best for us. Best of all she put up with me and my things and still managed to like me. She changed my life for the better. I am truly thankful for her.

Ms. Eskridge was a teacher I'll forever cherish. I didn't get the pleasure of having her as my teacher but she was a director that believed in me more than many others. The first to ever give me a speaking part in a play and I'll forever love her for it. I'll never forget everything that she did for me when I felt down and she talked me up or when I doubted my ability to do the part she gave me and she pulled me aside to talk about it, ultimately helping me. An amazing teacher that I miss so much.

Mrs. Eskridge was an absolutely amazing teacher and director. I wasn't in her class, but I was in the shows she helped direct this year. Her passing is horrible and she was loved dearly by all of her students. Mrs. Eskridge always found ways to laugh and have fun and was an all around great person. She will be missed

I loved Ms. Eskridge so much. When helping direct the musical, she brought a light and happiness which spread throughout the entire cast. She always knew how to get everyone into a better mood and even when we were tired, she motivated us to do our best and have fun. Even though I’ve never had her class, I still cherish the small and fun moments I’ve had with her.

Ms. Eskridge was the best teacher ever. I only had her for a few weeks but she made me smile every day I had her. I also got to spend time with her through the musical. She always made the cast laugh and encouraged us to keep going even when we were exhausted. School will not be the same with her gone. I will miss her dearly.

I first met Bacca taking dance lessons with her at dancesport in motion when I was in elementary school and she was in junior high. She was funny and bold and everything I wanted to be. We stayed friends for many years and hung around with the same people for years. I loved how our relationship evolved over the years and how we always knew we had each other. We had grown apart slightly about 5 years ago and then over the last 2 years reconnected and became closer than ever. Like everyone who met her I adored her. I'm happy that this last year is filled with happy memories of girls nights out, crazy game nights and dinner dates with or without our partners. I'm at a loss as everyone is now on how to move forward without her crazy laughter filling in my life. Sharing our "war stories" about teaching and how much we both loved it but could never do the other person's job. With how much we loved theater and going to shows together or trying to find the next best thing to recommend it to the other first. I will miss her delicious treats every year on my birthday that she would make but either could or would enjoy herself. My heart is with the huge community she touched, her students and her family. Thanks for 20 years of incredible memories my dear friend.

Ms Eskridge was my absolute favorite teacher of all time. Her laugh and smile immediately made my days just so much better. I knew the second I stepped into that classroom that I was gonna love her to pieces. When we were doing our first scene for class my group was wondering if she had a grenade for our scene and she went through a bag and pulled out an empty coke can and handed it to me and said “this is my gift to you” her sense of humor was on point and I will miss her so much.

I loved Ms. Eskridge. She was a lot of fun to work with in my school's musical and play. Her smile was contagious and she had a lot of energy. I loved having her as a teacher. She helped my confidence grow in acting. I am going to miss her so much. Next year won't be the same without her.
