Reneé Tomlin

May 31, 1937 - October 18, 2012

On October 18, 2012 we lost a very beautiful lady, our Angel. She was known for her kindness and appreciation of others.

Reneé was born May 31, 1937 to Dorothy Granberg and Joseph Allen.

In 1964 she married the love of her life Richard Tomlin, and they were together until he passed in August, 2012.

She truly enjoyed her work as a waitress for many years and because of that made many friends. When she wasn’t working she was bowling, working in her yard, making bread or canning. Her greatest joy in life was raising her children of whom she’s very proud.

Reneé is survived by her eight children Kara Jean, Lisa (Marty), Jill (Jeff), Kirk, Kara (Kris), Kelly (Carlene), Kory (Jamie), KC (Regan); her siblings Dennis (Jennene), Lynn (Janene), Eileen, Jon (Diane), Shauna (Scott), Ron (Julie), and Brent; 16 grandkids; 7 great grandkids.

She is preceded in death by her daughter Kyla; and brother Sharon.

We would like family and friends to come visit with us and share memories on Monday October 22nd from 6:00-8:00pm at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East. A private graveside service will be held on Tuesday at Salt Lake City Cemetery.

In Loving Memory

Her family was her joy and pride. She loved you so much! I'm glad I got to know Renee. We extend our sympathy to you at this time of loss.

And this is why I don't have season tiktecs anymore. The front office is so inconsistent and buffoonish at times that it really bothers me. How many times did I have somebody sitting next to me that got in free and griped the whole game? Every game. That's how often. Now they pull a stunt like this to appease the Jazz? Would the Jazz do something to help out another team? No chance. This just further affirms that RSL is always going to be little brother in this town. Screw the Jazz, and screw the NBA. MLS needs to start calling the shots and stop making themselves second class citizens. It just ends up screwing their loyal fan base.

This is incredibly stpiud. Switching a game time for a professional game only 5 days before is ridiculous. I agree with all of the previous comments, except Cristina's. Cristina, So What . I will tell you what. Most people have responsibilities and have plans more than a week in advance and it is not so easy to change everything around to accomodate a new start time. I wonder how many people are going to show up at 7 and never want to come to a game again?I also wonder how many fans that have kids playing games that day will now have to miss the game. I have had season tickets for the past 5 years and if they pull moves like this again I will probably not want to get tickets anymore. Poor form RSL. Poor form.
