Rev. Michael Patrick Buckley

The Rev. Michael Patrick Buckley passed away from cancer on September 21, 2024 at St. Joseph’s Villa in Salt Lake City in the company of his Family and Friends.
He was born August 3, 1970 to Mary A. Buckley and Michael J. Buckley, Jr. in Salt Lake City, UT. After graduating from the University of Portland he joined the U.S. Army 101st Airborne Division from 92′ to 94′ and received a honorable discharge.
Called to the Priesthood he attended and graduated from Kenrick-Glennon Seminary in St. Louis, MO and was ordained a Priest June 28, 2014 in the Diocese of Colorado Springs, CO. He served in many parishes and hospital ministries in Colorado Springs, CO and Salt Lake City, UT. He eventually retired in Salt Lake City due to health problems.
He is survived by his Mother Mary A. Buckley and his Brother Paul B. Buckley.
The recitation of the rosary will be on Thursday, October 3, 2024 at 7:00 PM at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 2315 E Redondo Avenue, Salt Lake City.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, October 4, 2024 at 11:00 AM at St. Ambrose Catholic Church. He will be laid to rest following Mass at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 275 U Street, Salt Lake City.
