Rhea Michelle Zander

Rhea Michelle Zander unfortunately passed away on a beautiful Saturday afternoon September 7, 2024, due to heart failure surrounded by everyone who loved her. Michelle had a kind, loving, caring and humorous personality. A heart bigger than the ocean, capable of loving unconditionally. 
Born on Oct 13th, 1969, to Steve and Debbie Zander in Salt Lake City, UT. Growing up in West Valley, graduating from Granger High. 
Michelle spent her extensive career at St. Marks Hospital working in various rolls for 38 yrs. During this time, she met many friends who became family to her. 
If there was anything she loved most in the world, it was her cats. Starting with just one ending up with 10. Each one having a personality and traits of their own, devoting everything to them.
Michelle was preceded in death by both of her parents and her sister Angie. Survived by many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. Michele was fortunate to have lifelong friends with Mike, Shannon, Lindsay, and Josh who had been there for her in the best and worst of times. Thank you for everything. As well a heartfelt thank you to the many wonderful nurses and doctors who treated Michelle at St. Marks Hospital and IMC Hospital. And to Josh Varney, Michelle’s family and friends, want to thank you most of all. 
Friends are invited to celebrate her life on Sunday, September 15 from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City, UT.  Guests are encouraged to use the parking and entrance located on the north side of the building. She will be laid to rest in a private service at Salt Lake City Cemetery.
