Richard Charles Owens

Soar Free With The Eagles

Our loving father and grandfather born on August 10th 1945 left us suddenly on November 1st 2014.

His laugh, smile, and personality will be missed by all who knew him. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the Vietnam War with the 101st Airborne Screaming Eagles. He earned 2 Purple Hearts and a Bronze Star for that service to his country.

He was very patriotic. He loved fishing and hunting but most of all loved spending time with his family; which included his dogs Berkley and Rocky.

He is survived by his four children Angie (Dee) Braithwaite, Tammy (Robert) Jorgensen, LaTrisha (Jordan) Owens, Colton (Kristy) Owens; his
four grandchildren Michael, Jocelyn, Avalon and Aubrilynn; dear friend JoAnn Rogers; brother Bobby; nieces, nephews and extended family.

He is preceded in death by his wife LaJuanda; daughter Christi Lynn; and his parents George and Cecelia Owens

A graveside service with military honors will be held on Friday, November 7th at 12:30 PM at Utah Veteran's Memorial Park, 17111 S. Camp Williams Road, Bluffdale.
