Richard K. Galster
September 11, 1956 - December 5, 2021
Richard “Rick” Kevin Galster was born on September 11, 1956 in El Paso TX to William A. and Rita P. Galster, sadly lost his almost year long valiant battle on December 5, 2021 in Salt Lake City, UT. He spent his formative years in Fairbanks AK with his family where he spent much time hunting and fishing with his family. He followed his family to Salt Lake City in December 1977. Married the love of his life, Kay Greer Berensen on May 23, 1998 in Magna UT. He had 1 son William whom he loved very much. He was a wonderful and supporting husband, father and teacher and he loved being a Dad.
He spent many years selling auto parts in the Salt Lake Valley and had many customers following him for his knowledge and helpfulness,
He was well known for his laughter and great sense of humor and will be missed by many.
Survived by his Mother, Rita, wife Kay and son William. Also survived by his siblings, Chris (Leo) Evans, David (Cindy) Galster, Margie ((Matt) Fish and Pat (Dawn) Galster along with many nieces and nephews and 2 great nieces. Also his Aunt Arlene and many cousins.
Viewing and vigil will be held on Thursday December 16, 2021 from 6:00 – 8:00 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 670 S 1100 E, Salt Lake City, UT. His funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday at 2:00 PM, also at the church.
