The best gunsmith ever – Nightowl’s Gunsmithing

Ray was born on February 29, 1948, to Ray & Nadine Federico in Grand Junction, Colorado. Ray lived there until he was 13, then his family moved to Utah. Ray married the love of his life, Jennie in May 1967. They spent almost 55 years by each other’s side. In 1968 his daughter, Tammy was born, then in 1971 his son, Anthony was born. Ray was an amazing father and husband. Everything he did was for his family.

In 1992, Ray started his own business, Nightowl’s Gunsmithing, and quickly became the best gunsmith in Utah. There wasn’t much he couldn’t fix. Of course, we know there wasn’t much Ray couldn’t fix, whether it was a gun, car, or just about anything.

Ray is survived by his wife, Jennie, daughter Tammy (Shayne) Bolte, his son, Anthony (Alyssa), Troy Kelsch, granddaughter Alexa, and grandson’s Ajay and Hayden. Ray had so many great friends as well. He will be missed more than anyone will ever know. Happy shooting dad.

Per Ray’s request, there will not be a funeral service. There will be a celebration of life at a later date. Please check back soon for updated celebration details.

In Loving Memory

Dear family,  It's always so hard to say good bye. I will miss his smile and laughter. No matter what came his way he seemed to still handle it with pride and never showed a bit of anger of why?  I can't believe he isn't here. Then I have to remember he is free again. To move about and jump for joy because he can. Thank you for letting me get to know such a wonderful family.
