Robert Joe Tafoya Jr.
October 8, 1950 - January 28, 2017
Robert Joe Tafoya Jr. was a loyal son to Mary Rita and Joe Robert Tafoya, a supportive brother to Roy, Maryann and Lefty, and a loving father to Paul, Michelle, Mario, Tara and Celia. He had a strong faith in God and taught us to love God with all of our hearts, our minds, and our souls. He was a man of good character and could fill any room with laughter. Robert was compassionate, loyal and hard-working. He enjoyed living his life to the fullest by racing cars, motorcycle riding, playing pool, bowling, and dancing; but most of all, by his love for music. Robert loved to the fullest and touched many hearts and minds. He was a caring man that will be greatly missed.
Robert is survived by his children; Paul Patrick Tafoya, Michelle Velarde, Mario Velarde, Tara Tafoya, and Celia Tafoya. His sister Maryann Espinosa, brother-in-law Lefty Espinoza, and brother Roy Tafoya. As well as all of his grandchildren.Robert is preceded in death by Mary Rita Tafoya and Joe Robert Tafoya.
A celebration of life will be held at Starks Funeral Parlor 3651 South 900 East on Friday February 3rd 2017 from 6 to 8. Guests are encouraged to use the free valet parking on the Northside of the Parlor.

Maryann and Family, I am so sorry for your loss. I also know of Robert's love of the Lord and that we will all see him again if we all live the life he worked so hard to teach. Keep his great smile and life lessons in your heart to comfort you. You are all in my prayers.
