Robyn Marie Gill Smith

February 13, 1959 - August 8, 2023

Robyn Marie Gill Smith, born on February 13th, 1959, embarked on her final journey on August 8th, 2023, at the age of 64. She resided in South Jordan, Utah, at the time of her peaceful passing. Robyn's legacy lives on through her cherished family members: her devoted husband, Craig Smith; her beloved daughter, Ashley Smith; and her cherished son, Jason Smith. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Cherri Gill; and her adoring niece and nephews: Jamie Gill, Katie Gill, and Andrew Gill.

Born and raised in the vibrant city of Salt Lake City, Utah, Robyn's story is one of love, dedication, and unwavering commitment. She was a proud alumna of South High School, where her journey as a determined Cub, graduated in 1977. Her passion for dance flourished during her time at the University of Utah, where she found her place on the dance team. It was there that she met the love of her life, Craig, who would stand by her side through all the chapters of their remarkable journey together.

Robyn's love story with Craig led them to California, where they began their family and shared countless memories. In 2006, they felt the call to return to their Utah roots, where Robyn's heart truly belonged. Settling back in Utah, Robyn found her professional home at Bingham High School, where she dedicated 16 years of unwavering loyalty. As a proud Miner, she poured her heart into her work, leaving an indelible mark on the lives of countless students and colleagues.

An ardent football enthusiast, Robyn's passion extended to her beloved Utah Utes. With the same fervor she once exhibited as a cheerleader, she cheered on her team from the stands, and her dedication to the sport became a cherished family tradition.

Robyn's role as a wife and mother was truly unparalleled. Her love and support knew no bounds, and her family was the center of her universe. She was not only a wonderful wife to Craig but also a remarkable mother, embodying the qualities of compassion, patience, and unconditional love. Robyn's legacy will forever be intertwined with the memories she created, the lessons she imparted, and the love she shared.

Robyn's final journey came to a poignant close on August 19th, 2023, as she was laid to rest following a profoundly moving service held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. The solemn gathering was a testament to the deep impact she had on the lives of those around her. Friends, family, and loved ones converged to pay their respects, honor her memory, and share stories that echoed her remarkable life.

Robyn Marie Gill Smith is preceded in death by her father, Harold Gill, her mother, Vera Gill, and her brother, Richard Gill. As we bid her farewell, let us remember the joy she brought to our lives, the love she spread, and the legacy of warmth that will forever be etched in our hearts.
