Mr. Marcy was a wonderful man with nothing but students welfare in mind. He was very helpful with a family situation that I had and I will always remember how thoughtful he was in that situation. A more wonderful, caring, insightful person one will never meet. His love for his family knew no bounds. His dedication to all those he came in contact with was always inspirational. Please accept our heartfelt sympathies and expression of condolences on the passing of Roger. He dedicated a major portion of his life and his career in the field of educating young people in this upstate New York community and his memory for doing so remains everlasting in the hearts and minds of his students, his co-workers and his neighbors . The extent of a man's lifetime achievements are measured by his family, his friends and his career. Roger had much to be proud of and although he will be missed he will be fondly remembered.

Mr. Marcy made a lasting impression on my life in my three years as a QHS student. Humor, kindness and his smile to name a few... I loved his corny sense of humor. Even after I graduated when I saw him he would always make the same corny joke he made all through HS. IF "Marcia Kidney married Eddy Stone...they'd have Kidney Stones". He was a kind and deeply caring man and I will never forget him. I never knew of his deep Christian faith - but I always knew there was something special about him. I truly hope you will be comforted by the knowledge that his legacy lives on in all of those whose lives he touched and his faith in God and desire to touch others was imparted to many lives. My deepest sympathy at your profound loss.

Mr. Marcy was my principal at QBY and also hired me for my first year of teaching at St. Marys. I couldn't have asked for a better principal and mentor for that difficult first year. I will never forget him asking, "Would you like to see the classroom you MAY be teaching in?" He will be missed. My sympathies to the family.

I was shocked and very sadden to read of Mr. Marcy's passing.Qsby will definitely miss a terrific man.He served his job well as Qsby High School principal. Rest in peace.

Mr. Marcy helped me in so many ways I do not know where to start. As a confused young kid in 1967, he saw something in me that I did not see. First as a teacher, then a mentor, someone to chat to over the back fence and then a friend. What a wonderful educator and wonderful person. His influence on me is immeasurable. His greatest gift to me was his integrity. My greatest gift to him is that I passed that integrity to my children and they to their children. What an amazing legacy. A good decent man who gave far more than he received. The children who learned from him are the better for knowing him and the world is a better place for having Roger Marcy in it. My condolences to the family of this great guy. I have never lost the impulse to smile when I think of Roger, and I know you too will find that comfort. ...and Roger (because I know you are still with us), I can still recite The Bakers Tale from memory. I think the QHS Class of 76 had the best time with "Roger". Yes, we called him "Roger" He was so much fun and such a nice man. I can not remember him not wearing a smile. I am truely sorry for your loss. May God Bless you and keep you in your time of need.

Mr. Marcy was a great English teacher and mentor. I had the plelasure of meeting his family at his home on aviation rd. A group of us went to see him wnen he broke his leg. We had blessing and lunch. To the Marcy family, It is with great saddness that i write this today. Roger Marcy was one of the best Principles Q.H.S. will ever have. His devotion to " ALL" students and not just a selected few made him the outstanding leader that he was. Even when he use to catch me smoking in the bathroom, he just told me to get to class. I am truly sorry for your loss of a GREAT man. He inspired all of the younger generation at Queenbury High School; as well as others I am sure. He surely will be missed, and still loved!!

My sincere condolences go out to the Marcy family duting this time of loss. Mr. Marcy was my Assistant Principal at Queensbury High School and was probably the biggest influence in my life during those sometimes trying years. He was a genuine man of caring, love and devotion to "his students" and his compassion and caring was always evident as he dealt with the student body. He was firm when he had to be, but even when he had to be, he did so with fairness and compassion. Mr. Marcy was a man of greatness and inspriation to all who knew him, both students and faculty alike. I only hope that as I age and mature, that I can do so with the traits and integrity Mr. Marcy possessed as they are the greatest traits a man can posses. Mr. Marcy touched many peoples' lives in a positive and inspiring way that we will cherish and hold dear to our hearts for the rest of our lives. God has called one of His truly chosen Angels home after blessing us with his presence here on Earth. He will be sincerely and dearly missed.

Dear Mrs. Marcy & family, I am so sorry to hear about Mr. Marcy's passing. He was my English teacher at Queensbury High School for my sophomore and senior years (1969-1970). He was such a great teacher. No matter what mood you might have been in when you entered his class, his smile would brighten the whole room and somehow you felt better. He was always happy and had a great sense of humor. There was always much laughter in his classes and he made learning so easy. I had great admiration and respect for him.He is truly a wonderful man. I have thought of him fondly through the years after I graduated and on occasion, I went back to QHS just to visit with him. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Remembering the New Years Eve party when he quietly presented you with a gorgeous ring, just because he loved you so. That was Roger. Roger was a light in the otherwise humdrum business of getting kids into and out of their grades. He made one look at education in a completely different light, as an opportunity and not just a job. A privilege to know the man.
