It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing away of Rolf J Ehler on 4 Oct 2025 from causes incident to the age. Rolf was 96 years old, born on 16 April 1929 in Niendorf/Fehmarn, Germany.
Rolf married Helga Ingrid Streich Ehler. Rolf was selling motorcycles in Germany when he first met Helga. After the war, Rolf travelled to Canada and then US. Helga followed him. They settled in Salt Lake City where they have lived since late 1950s. Rolf studied Electronics. Rolf worked for IBM for 30+ years. Retiring in 1990.
Rolf leaves behind his beloved wife; Helga I Ehler and son; Marcus J Ehler.
Rolf’s body will be cremated and his ashes disbursed in Baltic Sea. There will be a celebration of Rolf’s life at a later date.
