Ronald (Ron) Gonzales

July 30, 1954 - February 3, 2025

Ron Gonzales our beloved brother, son, uncle, and friend passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on February 3rd 2025. He is now in the arms of our parents and sister who have called him home. Heaven now has a new angel to look over us.

Ron fought a long hard battle with cancer. We are so proud of his strength, his will to live and his courage. He was born on July 30, 1954 to Leo and Adele Gonzales in Salt Lake City, Utah. He retired from Boeing Aerospace, where he worked for over 25 years.

Ron was kind, gentle, soft spoken and loved to dress nice and hit the town. He was an all around good person who never forgot a birthday. He loved everything to do with cars, always watching car shows on TV, attending car shows and going the races with his brother Rick. He loved playing his guitar, going to concerts, and collecting memorabilia alongside his trips to Vegas.

Ron had a great groups of friends and will be greatly missed.

Ron is survived by his sisters, Anna, (Mark) McMillan, Kaylyn (Todd) Smith, brother Rick (Lydia) Gonzales. Nieces and nephews, Tiffany, Chris, Joe, Mark Jr, Brandi, Britne, Andrea, Devon, Mercedes, Dylan and Daiton.

Proceeded in death by parents Leo and Adele, sister Georgeana.

We want to thank IHC Cancer Center and Inspiration Home Health and Hospice for your gentle and kind care of our brother. We will miss you every day and think of you always Ron. With all of our love, rest in peace, brother.

A visitation will be held on February 14, 2025 at 11:00 following a Rosary and Mass at noon at St. Martin de Porres; 4914 S 2200 W, Taylorsville, Utah, 84129. A burial to follow at Memorial Redwood Cemetery; 6500 South Redwood, West Jordan, Utah, 84084.

Ron saying goodbye to you today was hard for me. We shared so many memories, when we first met, you had your White Corvette and a white suit you was always so popular, and kind to everyone. And when we were going to college and supporting each other in our studies and dreams. I also, had so, much fun going to concerts and comedy clubs and watching the airplanes go above us when we were watching them at Hill Air Force Base was the best memories I have of us and lastly talking to you about your Illness broke my heart. You are my best friend. I will miss you so much. I’ll keep praying for you. Please pray for me. I know we will see each other again Love you, my friend. Darlene
