Ronald Wells

June 19, 1949 - March 26, 2017

One of the best men you'll ever meet died Sunday, March 26th, 2017 at home doing what he loved, being outside, when his heart just stopped. Born June 19th, 1949 in Salt Lake City, UT to Lois Acocks and William Wells.

Graduated from Murray High in 1967. Started at Mt. Fuel as a meter reader and worked his way up to Customer Service Foreman and left Questar after 30 years. He loved his job and the people he worked with. He also worked for Sandy City, Jordan School District and Canyons School District.

Married Sherrie Lloyd on August 8, 1975 and they had 41 years together. He loved his kids unconditionally with all of his heart.

Ron loved camping and he was an avid fisherman. He was a vintage car lover and was just waiting to find the right 56 Chevy. Ron was a do it yourself expert. He had a love for everyone and was willing to help anyone that needed it.

He leaves behind his wife Sherrie; kids Brett, Brandon (Becki), James, Danielle, Lesle Stewart and Sheila Baker; seven grandchildren London, Lauren, Jordan, Kayla, Hunter, Tanna and Keaton; two great-grandchildren Lennen and Kayden; siblings Randy (Colleen) Wells, Sheri (Carlos) Dominguez.

Preceded in death by parents Lois McKeen and William Albert Wells; in-laws Beverly and Roy Lloyd; grandparents Clarence and Geneve Acocks.

A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, April 1st from 11:00 to 1:00 PM at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City. Guests are encouraged to use the complimentary valet parking provided on the north side of the building. Graveside to follow at Elysian Burial Gardens, 1075 East 4580 South, Salt Lake City.

Ron you will always be forever in my heart. I love you to the moon and back.

In Loving Memory

Danielle and Jordan, I'm so, so sorry for your loss. Fathers start out rough but over time they become big teddy bears. I hope you can find some peace at this time and look back with fondness on the memories you have of him. You are in our thoughts and prayers. TJ, Wendi, and family

He was always so kind and willing to help. A giant of kindness, gone to soon. It's been many years since we worked at the South Service Center, but the foreman there were the cream of the crop! May you be comforted by the many memory making moments you shared.

I want to express my gratitude for having known Ron. He was one of the nicest people I've ever worked with. We had some good laughs in the dispatch office at Questar and great conversations too. Although it's been a few years since I've seen Ron, I always thought of him with great fondness. I'm very sorry to his family for your tremendous loss.

Sherrie, and all of the family, News of Ron's unexpected passing left us deeply saddened. All of you are in our thoughts and prayers. Although it's been a long time since we've lived in the same neighborhood, there are so many fond, warm memories of those "growing up" years. We pray that the peace of the Lord will be with you and that time will soften today's heartache. Ralph and Edy Howes
