Royal L. Tribe III
November 27, 1947 - October 27, 2025
Bodie Tribe passed away on October 27, 2025. Bodie was born on Thanksgiving Day, November 27, 1947 to Royal and Joyce Tribe in Salt Lake City, Utah. Raised in Salt Lake, he graduated from East High School, and then went on to attend the University of Utah where he majored in Business / Economics.
As a member of the Beta Theta Pi fraternity, he developed numerous friendships that continued throughout his life. Bodie began his career in the Trust and Estate field with numerous banks in Salt Lake. He later transitioned into commercial real estate joining Cushman & Wakefield (formerly Commerce Properties).
The times he cherished the most were the times spent at their condo in Solana Beach, California, or as one of his grandsons fondly referred to it as “Papa’s Beach House”. There he enjoyed spending time with family and friends, hanging out on the beach, checking out the various restaurants, haunts and watching the amazing sunsets.
Bodie is survived by his loving wife Anne, two amazing children, Matthew (Estineh) Tribe, Tara (Alex) Meade and four wonderful grandsons, Samuel and Benjamin Meade and Oshin and Emin Tribe. Per his request there will be no formal funeral. He has asked to be cremated and his ashes spread on beach in Del Mar, California. Open a bottle of wine and share a toast. There is no reason to let good wine go bad.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I always enjoyed my talks outside with Bodie. He gushed about his family, and the beach house! I didn't see him for a while, and hoped he was at the beach. Sad to find out he's passed. My condolences to Anne and family.
