Ruby Elizabeth Martinez Peters

Ruby passed away in the early morning of July 18, 2018 after a valiant fight.  She was born September 27, 1955 to Larkin Martinez and JoAnn Marsh. She is proceeded in death by both parents and her Brother Jack Martinez, with whom she had a very special bond. Ruby was an independent lady with a sweet soul.  Her main focus these last few months was to make it long enough to see her grandson-to-be, Jackson Ray. He will have a loving angel watching over him now.

Ruby is survived by her son Darren Scott and his girlfriend Emily Middleton; Sisters Lisa (Sean) Goodfellow,   Shelly (Glen) deJong, Lisa (Mike) Jones, Tammy Martinez and  Debbie Martinez; Nieces Stephanie and Ashley, and Nephew Colton. Ruby had  great loving friends in Sister Beverly and Brother Steve Perry who were her extended family and loved her as much as she loved them.

She was a member of the LDS faith and had many wonderful friends in her ward, who were kind and considerate to her, thank you!   

Ruby had a special relationship with PA Leigh Elrod, who was a Godsend and kept Ruby on track, such as catching her walking down the street without her oxygen. Also Nurse Patty, hospice aid Nubia, and the 2nd floor staff  St Joseph Villa.  People like you are rare and amazing gems, thank you! There will be a celebration of life of life for Ruby planned at a later date.
