Russell 'Russ' Allen Barlow

Russ was born on October 15th, 1960 in Salt Lake City, Utah and passed away on November 18th, 2022.

Russ was enigmatic to say the least. He was very accomplished in many aspects of martial arts, most of all wrestling (high school state championship) and Judo (1st degree black belt and multi tournament winner). He had a natural knack for mathematics which would benefit him in his work applications from construction to carpet installation. Russ did not fit the mold of convention, but was always the life of the party and had a very big heart for his family even when it wasn't always the most idealistic of relationships. His passion and charisma always allowed us to maintain a spot for him in our hearts as well. He loved fishing, fighting and being in the desert.

Russ is survived by his parents Lynn and Marilyn Barlow, Siblings; Debbie Leyer, Ken Barlow and Christina (Jay) Kirch and his children James and Marissa (Charles) along with his two grandchildren and many beloved nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A gathering in his honor will be on Monday, Dec. 5th 2022 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City. Guests are encouraged to use the parking and entrance on the north side of the building.
