“Some of it’s magic, and some of it’s tragic, but I had a good life all the way” – Jimmy Buffett
Russell William Bridge, age 61, passed away early in the morning on Monday January 24th in his home. He was born on May 17th, 1960, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Russell was the youngest son of Clyde and Bessie Bridge. He was a 1978 Graduate of Granite High School. After high school, he served a mission in Louisiana. However before leaving for his mission, he fell in love and later married Deborah Kay Van Duren on September 12th, 1986. Together they had four children Elizabeth, Rachael, Brinton and Chelsea. He studied the culinary arts and was an incredibly talented pastry chef. He worked many jobs where he was able to express his love and passion for baking. Outside of the kitchen he loved to work with his hands on activities like gardening and wood working. He had a huge love and appreciation for the outdoors and enjoyed kayaking, fishing, camping and traveling. He traveled to many incredible places including Spain, Paris and Thailand. With this passion for traveling, combined with a love for all things Disney, his favorite places to visit were any Disney theme park he could get in to. More than anything he loved his family and friends, and his favorite moments were spent all together with him at the grill.
Russell was an amazing husband, father and friend. He was devoted and loving. He was always trying to make those around him smile and laugh. He had this magical ability to befriend everyone he talked to. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife Deborah Kay Bridge, and their children. (Daughter) Elizabeth Bessie Keyes and (Son-in-law) Daniel Paul Keyes. (Daughter) Rachael Michelle Neeley and (Son-in-law) Bryce Alan Neeley. (Son) Brinton Clyde Bridge and (Partner) Caitlin Rachel Gannon. (Daughter) Chelsea Grace Coreil and (Son-in-law) Christian Figueroa Coreil. And all of the children he welcomed into his home and heart.
We invite all family and friends to a viewing service, and later to a Wake celebrating his life. In Loving Memory
There are no words. I love you all. Russ loved you, his family, above all. He will leave a gap in our lives because he was so vibrant and full of life! I'll miss the best grilling I've ever had! And did I mention the rolls?! We will never forget him and remember him fondly with a smile for all of my days. I wish you peace, courage, strength, friendship, comfort and love during this difficult time.

My association with Russell was from our childhood. We participated in child and youth activities together. Even from a young age, he had a gentle way and was always kind. May the time you had together carry you through his absence with peace and comfort.

I know you'll all miss Russ so much! He was always so willing to do anything for anyone--that's what I remember most about him. He was so proud of each of you--especially his beautiful wife. There just aren't words. He made my life richer.
