Ruth Marie Randle

Ruth Marie Willis Randle was born on July 7, 1933 to loving parents, Annie Thomason Willis and David Russell Willis. Ruth was born in Cardston, Alberta, Canada. When Ruth was 18 months old, the family moved back to their native country, England. Ruth grew up in England in areas that included Liverpool, Wallacy and The Isle of Man and her childhood was impacted and influenced by WWII when she had many experiences that shaped much of the rest of her life. When Ruth was a young adult, she and the family moved to Salt Lake City, Utah.
Ruth met Howard Randle and they quickly became engaged on Valentine’s Day and were married for 69 years. Together, they loved the beach, fishing, camping, and travel. Ruth always embraced new experiences. Ruth earned multiple trophies in golf and bowling leagues.
Ruth was an excellent student and educated in England as a secretary where she learned and achieved excellent skills in typing, shorthand, and other professional secretarial functions. Ruth was also a very skilled seamstress and expertly sewed drapes, clothes, upholstery, and her wedding dress as well as her daughter’s. Ruth studied and worked hard to become accomplished and was exceptional and put her all into everything she did.
Ruth was a wonderful wife and mother who provided loving and unforgettable contributions to her family, taught her children well, was their greatest advocate, and a superb role model to her family and friends. Ruth unselfishly sacrificed to benefit her family and others. She belonged to many service organizations as well as serving as a Girl Scout and Brownie Leader for her daughters’ troops. Ruth will be remembered and missed by her family and friends who love her very much.
Ruth was survived by her three daughters, Susan Marie, Carol Ann, and Pamela. She was predeceased by her husband, Howard, and her son, Steven Howard. She had six siblings, Ann, Eldon, Elizabeth, and Karen who are living and predeceased by her sister, Margaret and her brother, David. She is also survived by many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Graveside services for Ruth Marie Randle will be on Saturday, May 20th, 2023 at 11 AM, at Wasatch Lawn Cemetery, 3401 South Highland Drive, Millcreek, Utah, Whispering Pines Section, Southeast corner of the cemetery; where she will be buried with her beloved husband, Howard. Family and friends are invited to share their thoughts and memories during the service. There will be a family and friends gathering to start immediately following the service in the common grounds by the swimming pool in Capstone Condominiums on Honeycut Road, Millcreek, Utah.
