Ruth Mary Lehmitz Christiansen
September 19, 1920 - October 24, 2013
Our beloved mother and grandma passed away on October 24th, 2013 at the age of 93. She lived a full life.
She was born on September 19th, 1920 in West Jordan to Ruth Mary and William Lehmitz Jr. Married William James Christiansen, who preceded her in death 30 years ago. Ruth enjoyed working for Edward O. Anderson, Marion P. Hanks, Robert L. Simpson, Eugene England, UTA and Homer Peterson. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
Ruth is survived by her son Harry J.; grandson William Cody J. (Krystal); granddaughter Carrie Lee; great grandchildren Landyn, Lacie, Zoi, Zayra; and sisters Shirley Newman, Dorothy Seal, and Fern Beckstead.
In addition to her husband she is preceded in death by her parents and five brothers.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 29th at 11:00 AM at the Hunter 5th Ward, 5065 W. Janette Ave. (3890 S.), West Valley City, where a visitation will be held one hour prior to services. Interment to follow at Valley View Memorial Park, 4335 West 4100 South, West Valley City.
