Sarah Louise Bake Robinson
January 27, 1977 - December 11, 2016
Sarah Louise Bake Robinson, born January 27th 1977, closed her beautiful blue eyes on December 11th, 2016, calling it a draw with her arch nemesis metastatic breast cancer, which she fought bravely for over 5 years. She will be remembered fondly for her bright smile, positive attitude, kind caring spirit, and super powers only those close to her knew she had. She will deeply miss warm hugs and snuggles with her baby boy, warm sand through her toes, rum punch on Ambergris Caye, and reading. Most of all she is heartbroken beyond words to miss the growing up of her little boy Tray (Tracy). Sarah was one of the lucky ones. Only 8% of women who have metastatic disease at the time of diagnosis live to 5 years and she made it. That is why she is a superhero. Her secret identity was that of an OR nurse: she worked at Presby Hospital in Philadelphia, University of Washington Medical Center, and Swedish Ballard, both in Seattle. She was born in Sedalia, Missouri and grew up in Choteau, Montana where she made many fond memories and lifelong friends. Those that fought bravely beside her and continue to battle evil include Batman (her husband Tracy), Red Lantern (her son Tray), sisters Stephanie (Eric), Bonnie (Brent), and Jen (Playstation), brothers Dean, JJ (Jenn), Jason (Courtney), Ryan (Cortney), Kevin, and Eric, mother Karen (Dick) and father Paul, grandparents Fenton Burgess and Radine Bake, her many superheroes in training (nephews and nieces) all of whom adored her, and numerous friends who will miss her greatly. Tracy would like to especially thank the superhero factory known as the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, particularly VK Gadi MD and Heidi Trott APRN, superheroes in their own right, for giving Sarah the superhero tools and abilities to continue to battle her foes over these past five years. Additional thanks to Sarah's superfriends who supported her and her family over the last few weeks: Leila Bender, Darby Carlisle, and Casey Brewster.
Wakes in Sarah's honor will be held in both Seattle and Salt Lake City with the time, dates, and locations to be announced via her caring bridge site: https://www.caringbridge.org/visit/sarahbakerobinson. In lieu of flowers, donations in Sarah's honor can be made to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation, INC.
