Seleny Joanne Crosby
April 10, 2004 - May 2, 2014
Seleny began her heavenly life on May 2, 2014, joining her brother Daniel who preceded her. We still carry her love in our hearts until we embrace her again. Words cannot express our sorrow, but her loving vibrance lives on eternally.
Seleny was the happiest in the family to move back to Utah from Texas as she missed being with her grandmother, aunts, uncles and cousins. She adored her grandmother and cherished nursing her when she was ill—she wanted to be a physician like her uncle Nathan. Seleny won several karate competions in Texas. She recently was practicing for a tournament in Colorado. She enjoyed running and would sometimes run up to seven miles per day.
Seleny was an altar server at St. Vincent’s Parish with her twin sister Doris and brother David. She was the BIG sister and loved to take care of her younger sister Danielle and all of her siblings. She loved her puppy Snoopy.
She is survived by her parents David and Seleny; sisters Jessica and Yvonne; brother David; twin sister Doris; little sister Danielle; grandparents David Crosby and Cristy Jackson and Juana and Hildebrando Acha; and many other extended family.
Viewing will be held on Tuesday, May 6th from 6:00-8:00 pm, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church 1375 East Spring Lane, Salt Lake City, where a Vigil will begin at 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 7th at 11:00 am, also at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Taylorsville City Cemetery, 4500 South Redwood Road, Taylorsville.

Dear parents, How my heart grieves for you in the loss of your precious child and for a second time. No words could describe such a hole in your heart. We are at the Shrine of Our Lady of Good Help, in Champion ,Wisconsin . This beautiful shrine is the only place where an apparition of our Blessed Mother has been approved by the church. We will place all your intentions at her feet & know she hears and truly wraps you all tenderly in her mantle of love. All will be well....

There are no words to describe the great sorrow of the loss of this beautiful little Angel! Her great smile, her love for life, her devotion to her family and her great spirit will be deeply missed by all of us who had the privilege of knowing her and loving her. We rest more peacefully knowing she is in the loving arms of Jesus. Be at peace, little Angel! Love always, Uncle Nathan and Tia Maria

I am Nate Gooch's aunt. You already know about the odyssey we've been on with Spence, so I can say, we know your pain. A child is such a precious gift and to have her taken so abruptly, is heartbreaking. I want you to know that I pray for you every day and ou are in our thoughts. sincerely, Kristy Nelson

Dear Crosby Family, We know of your Seleny only through the concern of relatives who live in South Jordan, and through the written words of tribute to her. What a bright soul she has, sharing her smile, love, and zest for life with her family. She sure cherished her family. Though her time here was short, may the beautiful way she lived her life bring comfort to you. We and our relatives are praying for you and thinking of you at this time.

My son Jack is in Amadou's Dojo with your youngest four children and we are heartbroken about Seleny. I have twin girls and my heart goes out to Doris especially. We were not able to attend either service to celebrate her life with you but we wanted you to know that she and you are in our thoughts and prayers.
