Sheila Grace Gill

June 21, 1942 - September 21, 2017

Sheila Grace (Gadd) Gill, 75 of Murray, UT, our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend passed away on September 21, 2017 surrounded by her family in Murray, Utah.   She and her twin sister Marcia were born to Kenneth and Alberta (Carbis) Gadd on June 21, 1942 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

She married Lowell Gill on June 26, 1964 in Salt Lake City, UT and had four children Darcy, Michelle, Michael, and Jeffrey, whom she loved very much.  She also had three grandchildren Tyson, Keaton, and Alex all of whom she loved with all of her heart.  She had a very close and special relationship with her sister Marcia.  She adored family gatherings and was gifted at telling stories. Her ability to genuinely connect with people will be missed by all who knew her.

She enjoyed spending time at her cabin and one of her favorite past times was taking a glass of wine and going "moosin" (searching for moose). Sheila had a deep love for all animals, in particular her dogs Lady, Duchess, and Dollie.  She loved all sports and was an avid fan of the Utah Jazz.  A talented painter and artist, she loved painting her ceramics and the carvings her husband Lowell would create.

Sheila enjoyed travel, especially cruising, and her and Lowell saw the world.

Shelia was preceded in death by her daughter, Darcy and her parents Alberta and Kenneth.  She is survived by her husband, Lowell; children Michelle Pearson, Michael (Judy) Gill, and Jeff (Aracely) Gill; sister, Marcia (Dennis) Hardcastle; grandchildren Tyson, Keaton, and Alex; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, September 28, 2017 from 7:00 – 9:00 PM at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City. Guests are encouraged to use the complimentary valet parking on the north side of the building. Sheila will be laid to rest in a private family service.

The family would like to thank the ICU staff at Intermountain Medical Center for their exceptional care.

In lieu of flowers, please make donation in her name to the Utah Food Bank, the Humane of Society of Utah  or the charity of your choice.

In Loving Memory

For our "sister" friend: As others will, we will miss you dearly. It has been a treat for us to go moosin' and enjoy the cabin hospitality and the warm reception we have always received there. You have been the best of friends. Keep the air in your tires and the cards in your hand (private jokes). God Speed.
