Sherron Burgess

October 16, 1929 - September 17, 2021

Rarely do you get to witness a love as true, as that shared by Sherron Burgess and her love Jac in their 72 year marriage. Together they lovingly raised three children, nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. They persevered through premature deaths of children and grandchildren, showing love can conquer all. Always thriving in their well deserved role as the family rock, their love remains a priceless example of how to live life to the fullest.

Sherron was born in 1929 and raised in Salt Lake City aside her older sister Joyce, who paved the way for her little sister, including her transition into Heaven. Sherron married her soulmate in 1949 in a beautiful ceremony that sparked a passion for the bridal arts and became the inspiration behind a successful retail and bridal business that she and her husband owned and operated for over 35 years, appropriately named Jaks!  After closing their store in 1986, Jac and Sherron became avid tennis players, sharing a love of the sport in Salt Lake City and later in Rancho La Qunita, California.

Sherron, was often known as “Queenie”, a name inspired by her unparalleled fashion sense, nurturing spirit and ability to connect with anyone she encountered. She never fell short of making everyone around her feel safe, loved and important, especially her husband, children and grandchildren . Even in her final days, she left lasting impressions on all her nurses and staff, while in their care.

Sherron is survived by her husband, Jac Burgess, children; Bret Burgess and Lisa O’Brien (JOhn) . Grandchildren; Todd McLachlan (Jill), Candice Baumbacher (Matt), Tim McLachlan, Karissa McLachlan, Erin Eldredge (Joe), Megan Blair O’Brien and Jon McLachlan (Cindy) and 13 great grandchildren. In her passing, Sharron was met with love by her daughter Kimberly McLachlan and granddaughter, Lindsay Burgess.

Wife, mother, grandmother or friend….   she will be greatly missed, always remembered and forever, our Queen.
