“Comin’ About”

Stephen H. Carter passed away on February 16, 2011, suddenly and tragically from a heart attack. 

Born on November 11, 1946 to Margaret Gagon Carter and Floyd “Pete” Carter in Provo, Utah.  Worked at Peck Traffic Safety striping the roads.  He was a true cowboy who loved hunting, fishing, camping, telling stories and making everyone laugh.

 He is survived by his children Stephen Jeffrey (Amber) Carter of Roosevelt, Sherrie (Steven) Barton of West Jordan, Shane (Teresa) Carter, Carrie Hammond, Jordan Carter all of Magna, R. Brandon Wilkinson, Jami (Ken) Fullmer all of Idaho, and Lacy Kuiper of Oregon; 19 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren who he loved and they loved him dearly in return; siblings John Wayne (Aloma) Carter, Margaret (Darryl) Harward, ,  Elaine (Ron) Colby, Rose (Buddy) Doyle, Jay Arnold (Mary) Carter; and many nieces, nephews and cousins who affectionately called him Uncle Steve.

Preceded in death by his parents and his brother Floyd Carter.

We would like to give a special thanks to EMTs Bob Lemon, Graig Hardmen, and Chief Don Berry who saved him in 1993 and gave us a wonderful 18 more years with our dad.  Also we would like to give a special thanks to everyone who helped us during this difficult time.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, February 21^st at 11:00 AM the Lakeridge 14^th Ward, 7960 West Dalesend Drive, Magna, where viewing will begin at 9:00 AM.  Interment will be held on Tuesday, February 22^nd at 11:00 AM at Moroni City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made at any Zion’s Bank in the name of Sherrie Barton.
