Steven Charles Parker

July 18, 1956 - December 6, 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Steven Charles Parker, a beloved father, son, brother, uncle, and friend. Steve left us on December 6, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and kindness.

Steve was born on July 18, 1956, in Detroit, Michigan, to Roy Alan Parker and Modesta Esquibel Macy. He spent his childhood and formative years in Southern California, where he developed his adventurous spirit and love of life. In 1992, he moved to Park City, Utah, where he created cherished memories and a life filled with family and friends.

Steve was the proud father of his two sons, Joseph and Samuel Parker, who were his pride and joy. He built a successful career in the airline industry, eventually retiring with Delta Air Lines, a company he held dear and where he left a lasting impact on colleagues and friends alike. After retirement from Delta, Steve found work in various transportation industries throughout the Salt Lake and Park City areas.

Steve was a man of many passions. He loved road trips, camping in the mountains, and spending time with his dogs, Ollie and Luna. He had a knack for finding beauty in the little things, from cool rocks to moments of quiet joy with his loved ones. Steve’s laughter, sense of humor, and love for practical jokes brought light to those around him. He had a heart for helping others, always ready to lend a hand to anyone in need.

Steve was preceded in death by his grandparents, Buford E. Parker, Sarah A. Lamberth, Alphonso S. Esquibel, and Isabel M. Esquibel.

Steve is survived by his sons, Joseph Parker (Courtney) and Samuel Parker; his parents, Roy Alan Parker and Modesta Esquibel Macy; his siblings, Lisa M. Williams (Kevin), Theresa E. Parker, Christopher J. Parker (Lisa Wheland), and Teggan M. Parker and her fiance Adrian Camarena; his niece and nephews Tess M. Williams, Nolan P. Williams (Alexis), and Stuart A. Parker, many friends, and his loving girlfriend, Maya MacDonald. Steve’s love and presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A celebration of Steve’s life will be held at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 S 900 E, Millcreek, UT 84106, on December 28th from 3:00 to 5:00 pm.

We will forever remember Steve for his warm smile, impromptu visits with Ollie and Luna, his zest for life’s simple pleasures, and his unwavering generosity. His absence leaves a void that can never be filled, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Rest in peace, Steve. You will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

In lieu of flowers, please honor Steve by spending time in his favorite way – with your loved ones in nature.
