Steven Lyle Grasteit
February 17, 1958 - January 21, 2022
Steven Lyle Grasteit, our beloved brother, passed away on Friday, January 21, 2022 at the age of 63 of heart failure. It was on his father’s birthday.
Steven was born on February 17, 1958 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was loved by his family. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
He had a sense of humor and loved to laugh. He enjoyed eating hamburgers, fries and M&Ms. He was generous and thoughtful of others.
He worked at Safeway grocery store as a bagger for 9 years. He frequently listened to Music and the Spoken Word. He did temple work. Steven devoted several years to the care of his aging mother. He will be missed by those who knew and loved him.
The family wishes to thank the devoted staff of Primary Support Services and Hospice for their excellent service and compassionate care. He was very fond of them.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Herman Grasteit, mother, Bonnie Mae Dodge Grasteit, brother, Duane Grasteit, his sisters, Lynda Crosby and Diane Hibler. He is survived by his brother, Dennis, his sister-in-law, Annette Grasteit and sister, Denise Woolsey.
A graveside service will be on Friday, January 28, 2022 at 12:00 pm in the Salt Lake City Cemetery located at 4th Avenue and “N” Street. (Plot is located between Main Street and Grand Ave in the cemetery.)
