Steven M. Goodrich
October 15, 1953 - May 18, 2023
Steven M. Goodrich,69, passed away May 18th, 2023 after a short battle with cancer. Steve was born in Cortland, N.Y. to Irving and Jane Goodrich on October 15, 1953. He spent almost his whole childhood in Cortland. He met the love of his life and future wife Susan Bonsteel in 1974 and they were married in May of 1976. Steve and Sue moved to Utah in 1978 and loved the West so they stayed in Salt Lake City. Their son Benjamin was born in 1979.
Steve loved his family especially his son, Ben and his grandchildren Lucas, Abbi and Johnny. He was a lifelong baseball fan Go Dodgers! He loved music especially Jazz and The Grateful Dead. He also loved drinking beer! He and his wife enjoyed traveling and camping in the West. They had many awesome adventures. Steve was one of the kindest people you would ever meet and would give the shirt off his back to help a friend.
He is survived by his wife Susan, his son Ben, his grandchildren , his Dad Irving Goodrich, brother Scott Goodrich, sister Susan Perleoni and many other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his Mom Jane and his oldest grandchild Lucas/ Quinn. He will be missed so much by all he knew.
A celebration of life/memorial will be held on June 10th from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Lindsay Gardens main pavilion in the avenues of Salt Lake City. All are welcome to attend.

I just heard about Steve's passing - so sorry. He was one of my best friends from junior high through high school . We spent a lot of time with Genesee cream ale discussing world events , I missed that when he moved out west but I know he and Sue loved it out there - rest in peace buddy you were one of the best ! Steve and I played trumpet together in band at CHS...always upbeat he was a great guy. I am truly sorry to hear of his passing . It was a pleasure to meet his family last summer at the 1890 House museum in Cortland. My thoughts are with them at this time.
