Susie Verlene Campbell Allred

August 30, 1941 - August 15, 2025

Susie Verlene Campbell Allred, lovingly known as “Sue,” passed away peacefully on August 15, 2025, just two weeks shy of her 84th birthday.

Born on August 30, 1941, in Provo, Utah, to Tom and Rodna Campbell, Sue was the fifth of eight children. She grew up in Santaquin, UT, and graduated from Payson High School in 1959. Soon after, she moved to the “big city” of Salt Lake City, where she met and married her first husband. Together, they had two beautiful children, Dale and Tammy.

Sue dedicated over three decades of her life to her work at the Tooele Army Depot, where she worked with ammunition. During Desert Storm, she played a key role in supporting our troops and received recognition for her contributions. In 2011, she retired after 34 years of loyal service.

In retirement, Sue cherished her time with family. She especially enjoyed sibling trips to Bear Lake filled with laughter and memories. She loved watching her great-grandchildren grow and spending quality time with her children and grandchildren.

Sue is survived by her son, Dale Peterson; daughter, Tammy Brand (Jeff); grandchildren, Alisha Alva (Adam), Michael Peterson, Christina Pederson (Erik), and Jessica Martinez (Joseph); great-grandchildren, Nathan, Canyon, Tajveon, Alizabeth, Talijah, EJ, Tlatoani, Cruz, and Andre; and great-great-grandchild, Tai. She is also survived by her siblings: Levell Campbell, Nancy Bassett, Dale Campbell (Gena), and Kenneth “Cal” Campbell (Maxine).

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dan Allred; and her siblings, Gordon “Pete” Campbell, Emily Hewitt, and Barry Campbell.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to The Beehive House of Riverton and   to Katie for the exceptional care and compassion shown to Sue in her final days.
