Sylvia~Jane Ringo Owens
March 4, 1943 - November 27, 2018
Jane Ringo Owens, 75, a retired nurse and former Fine Arts Museum docent, died November 27, 2018 at the University of Utah Hospital.
The cause of death, according to her husband Dr. William Owens, was acute respiratory disease complicated by necrotizing pancreatitis subsequent to multiple debilitating illnesses.
Born to educators, Jane attended Indiana University where she pursued a degree in nursing. After her medical career, she studied art history at the University of Utah Fine Arts Museum. She was a Chairwoman of the docent team.
A dedicated student of art, she traveled extensively to the museums of America and Europe. Her specialty of study was 17th Century Dutch and Flemish Classicism.
She is survived by her daughter, Jordan Taylor Owens of San Francisco, and her son William Irvin Owens III of New Orleans.
As per her wishes, her ashes will be interred in Bruges, Belgium where her family originated.
In lieu of flowers a donation in her name to the Fine Arts Museum or the Best of Friends Animal Rescue is appreciated.

But may the words of Jesus Christ found in John 5:28,29 give you all the added reason to hope in what he is speaking about, which is the resurrection that he will faithfully carry out and then bring her back to this earth, to live an endless life as Gods word the Bible says in Psalm 37:29 which reads: The righteous will possess the earth and they will live forever on it. So may these words bring some real hope into your lives as the days go on...
