Terrie Le Gehrke
March 21, 1960 - October 18, 2019
Terrie passed away suddenly on Friday October 18, 2019. She was born in Salt Lake City on March 21, 1960. Terrie is survived by her mother, Claudia Gehrke, her brother, Jon Gehrke (Bobbie), her sisters, Stacey Braithwaite and Chrissy Green (Kelly Graves), much loved nieces and nephews.
Terrie grew up in Salt Lake County. After college Terrie served in the U.S. Navy for four years, then in the Naval Reserve. The Navy fostered her love for jets, or was it the pilots? Following her military service, Terrie worked as a field engineer giving her the opportunity to work all over the world, from Europe to Asia. Being a lifelong lover of learning and people, she took great pleasure in getting to live in places like Ireland, the U.K., Denver, Colorado, Livermore, California, before returning to Utah in 2002.
Terrie loved the outdoors, whether it was the Wasatch Mountains or the Pacific Ocean. She liked to feel the sun on her face and the wind in her hair, especially if it was while she was driving her VW Bug with the top down. She was such a free spirit and adventurer. She loved coming home at the end of the day to the love's of her life, Simon and Murphy.
Terrie loved working with Sam Shapiro and the rest of her Qvera family. She often said, “I am sure about two things everyday that I go to work. I will learn something new and I will laugh.” We want to thank Michael and Fran Hutton for all of their love and support.
Please join us in a celebration of Terrie’s life on Tuesday, October 29, 2019, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City. Guests are encouraged to use the complimentary valet parking on the north side of the building.
If you wish to order flowers the family has asked for arrangements that are tropical and no lillies.

I worked with Terrie on an implementation project at my company. I geniunely enjoyed working with her on a personal level. We'd exchange pictures of our views from work etc. It was so easy to feel like she was a friend you've always known, yet her professionalism and incredible skillset was amazing. Thoughts and prayers and I hope the love and support of friends and family get you through this so difficult time.
I had the pleasure of just meeting (by phone) Terrie within the last couple of weeks. She was smart, had a great way of explaining complex technical issues and did it all with humor and patience. Two of my staff members were recently trained by Terrie and gave great feedback on her training style. My condolences go out to the family.
I was shocked and saddened to hear of Terrie's passing. She was an immediate friend and had superior knowledge. Always helpful and so much fun! I am going to miss her dearly and my sincerest condolences to her family and her extended family at Qvera.
We had recently worked together on some stuff that was a little weird and throughout the entire process, Terrie and I laughed and speculated in colorful and unusual ways as to how things had gotten to where they were. She was so smart and fun to work with; a phone call was something I could count on to be a delightful and enlightening experience. Terrie was instantly one of my favorite people and I am despondent and sadden at her passing. I'm so sorry for your loss.
I was so saddened to hear of Terrie's passing. I'd worked with her several times and she was one of those people that you immediately felt like you knew; she stayed professional while giving you that touch of personal. :) My thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends during this difficult time.
I was so incredibly saddened to hear about Terrie's passing. I never met her in-person, but I worked with her for many months on a project. She was personable, hard-working and so funny. I connected with her immediately. I'm happy I had an opportunity to know Terrie (even if it was too briefly). She will be missed. My deepest condolences go out to her loved ones.

I know Terrie touched a lot of lives, in a positive way, during her time abroad as well as through her work at Qvera. Terrie is one of those people you love to be around. Always positive, adventurous and fun loving. Many Christmas Eve’s she spent at my house with my older kids. She always helped put their toys their toys together. One year a large trampoline. My children have so many fond memories of Terrie. My prayers are for my husband Jon her sisters Stacey and Kris and my mother- in- law Claudia. Life won’t be the same without Terrie. She made everything fun . I loved the sparkle in her eyes, her love for life and her adventurous spirit. What a great example she was to all. Love you sister. Till we meet again.

I was so shocked and sad to hear of Terrie’s passing. My deepest condolences to Terrie’s family and friends. Terrie was my go to person at Qvera for several years. Although we never met in person, Terrie was an instant friend. She was always willing to assist and share her knowledge whenever I contacted her, and she did it with a smile in her voice. Terrie will be missed.
