Thelma Irene French

May 30, 1928 - March 6, 2012

It is with great sadness that we announce the dimming of the sparkly light that
has shined so much joy upon us with the passing of Thelma Irene French
 (83) on March 6th, 2012 in SLC with her children by her side.
"Grama Thelma" was born on May 30th, 1928 in Bonita, TX. She was the eldest
of nine children born to Jack and Loretta Mullins where they were raised on
a farm in Thackerville OK. Later she was a Harvey girl in K.C. then moved to
 Utah in 1966.

Love and hard work was her answer to life's challenges. This was shown as
she raised three children working as a waitress. She was adored by her many
customers through the years at Bratten's Seafood, Fort Douglas Country Club,
 and the ZCMI Tiffin room.
She touched the hearts of the many paths she crossed and inspired
 them all.

Thelma was the life of every party. She loved gathering with family and
friends and her "sweet" additions will be missed.

She leaves behind some great friends at the Lakeside Village. Their
companionship through these last years brought a great deal of enjoyment.

She leaves to cherish her sweet memories: children Bob (Charlene) French & Denise (Dale) Rockwell; stepson Ray Butch French; six grandchildren Tiffaney Mason, Steven Thatcher, Valerie Thatcher, Jayci Evans, Bobbi Garcia, and Zach French; and ten adored great-grandchildren.

Thelma will also be fondly remembered and sadly missed by her siblings Melvin Mullins, Glen Mullins, Wayne Mullins, Raymond Mullins, Emma Lou French, Nita Macado, and Joan Wilson.

 Those who passed before her include her parents; son (Charles Forest French);
brother (Haskel Mullins); and devoted spouses (Raymond French, Jack Rose,
 Mark Prince, Jim Johansen).

Our family invites you to share in a celebration of her life (she would
want nothing other than a celebration) on Tuesday, March 13 from 6:00 – 8:00
p.m. at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 S. 900 E, SLC.

Just as she embraced everyone, we embrace Thelma in our hearts. It was a
true privilege to be part of her journey.

Thank you for making us who we are today. We will dearly miss you and love
you always.

In Loving Memory

Bob, my thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family, your mom's smile and funny nature will be missed deeply at Lakeside! I lost my best friend that day and I miss her greatly, she was my partner at bingo, canasta and dominos and her presence will be missed. I thank her in sharing her family with me at your house on Super Bowl, may her soul rest in peace and memories live forever. Betty Theodosis Lakeside Village

- Three very important thigns:1. I love that you're starting a blog. I can't wait to read about all your neat little finds and thoughts and pictures and all that jazz. YAY!2. I love you and your esposo. You two always make my day, so reading about your adventures will turn into daily happiness for me!and 3. I love that you assured your readers that you wouldn't over-punctuate and then forgot the comma in the next sentence, technically sacrificing the punctuation to make a run-on It's kind of like the grammatical equivalent of a Freudian slip.p.s. YAY! BLOG!
