Thomas A. Linnebur
October 2, 1939 - September 22, 2013
Tom passed away September 22nd due to health complications.
He was born October 2, 1939 in Denver, CO to Jean and Albert Linnebur. He graduated Judge Memorial Catholic High School in 1957 and attended Regis College in Denver, Co earning a B.S. in business. Tom spent his career as an accounting supervisor for Van Waters & Rogers, which later became Univar.
He married Patricia Jane Hall on May 25, 1968 at St. Ambrose Catholic Church. In his younger days Tom enjoyed jogging around Sugarhouse Park; in the later years he needed a cane but still made the rounds of the park with his cronies. Nothing made Tom happier than a great book, a dark beer and a relaxing vacation. He especially loved cruises and Hawaii.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years; daughters Michele "Mickey" (Dave) Jenson and Nicole (Jeff) Grada; and grandchildren Erin, Thomas and Claire. We all hope his sense of humor lives on in us.
Please wear your favorite Hawaiian/vacation shirt to Tom's wake from 6:00 until 8:00 PM on Thursday, September 26th at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City, where complimentary valet parking will be provided on the north side of the building. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, September 27th at 11:00 AM at St. Ann Catholic Church, 451 East 2100 South, Salt Lake City. Private family burial will be held at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
No donations or flowers please. Life is short, spend time with those you love!
In Loving Memory
Working in a hospital you meet many patients some who touch you more than others. I was truely heart broken to hear about Tom passing away, his magnetic smile and sense of humor and possitive outlook inspired me. (Cindy occupational therapy on 5 south)

My sincere condolences to the family of Thomas Linnebur. May you find comfort in your loving memories, and in God's promise to soon "swallow up death forever...and wipe the tears from all faces." (Isaiah 25;8) While grief at the loss of Mr. Linnebur is great, joy at welcoming him back in the resurrection will be greater. (Mark 5;42) With deepest sympathy,

Pat, Mickey, Nicole and family, I am so sorry for your loss. I did not know about Tom's passing until my uncle called on the night of the funeral. I deeply regret not being able to attend his services. Some of my fondest early childhood memories were of times our families spent together. You will all be in my prayers during this very difficult and sad time.
