Travis William Ballingham

May 28, 1972 - February 2, 2014

Our son, brother, and father passed away unexpectedly on February 2nd, 2014 at his home in St. George, Utah.

He was born on May 28th, 1972 to Glen and Linda Ballingham in Ogden, Utah. Travis attended Murray High School and graduated with honors from the U of U with a degree in Business Management. Working for the Olive Garden for over 20 years, where he was the General Manager in the Salt Lake, Provo and St. George locations.

His greatest joys in life were his children. His huge heart is matched only by his wonderful sense of humor, both of which will be difficult to live without. We are all left broken-hearted.

Survived by his parents; brother Brett (Adrienne); children Cade, Madison, and Cambria; along with nieces, nephew and numerous extended family and friends.

We invite you to celebrate Travis' life with us at a brunch on Saturday, February 8th from 12:00 to 2:00 PM at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City.
Private family interment to follow at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East 10600 South, Sandy.

In Loving Memory

Sending my warm thoughts and prayers to his friends & family. Travis was such a sweet kind hearted guy. He was fun to be around. He will be greatly missed! RIP

This super amazing man has left us far to soon. I send my deepest sympathy to his family and friends to numerous to count.I will be forever grateful for the kindness and compassion he had for my Daughter Lisa, who worked for him at the St. George Olive Garden .When Lisa was and emotional mess after a very sad divorce, Travis held her up and gave her chances when probably no one else would. He could see something special in her. Because of Travis and his intuitive nature and compassion, Lisa rose through the ranks at OG from waitress to training others and a Floor coach. Thank You Travis for giving her a reason to believe in herself again. You will forever hold a place in my heart and the hearts of many others that you touched so deeply. A man that any family could be proud of!

I met Travis through my mother while she was working at the Olive Garden. His smile was the first thing that caught my eye. Travis loved his children. That is one thing I noticed the more I got to know him. I met his son one time and you could tell that Travis was really proud of him. His little girls where the light of his life. He constantly talked out them and expressed how he never wanted them to grow up cause he wanted them to be his little girls forever. My heart broke the moment I heard of his passing I am truly and deeply sorry for your loss. I will never be able to walking into another Olive Garden without having Travis in my thoughts. My heart goes out to his family especially his children in this difficult time. May you find peace in knowing that he will always be in your hearts and that wherever your life takes you, he will be there.

Trav- I am waiting for the time to leave to come to your funeral. This will be my last time to say Goodbye. I am not ready! I wanted to say that I love you and will miss you every day. Your smile, your laugh, your hugs and how you always called me sis! You should know that during your short life you have inspired and made a huge impact on a lot of people. I hope you know that. I feel like everyones comments, love and support has helped us through this devastating time. You were loved by many but no one loved you as much as your family. It's hard to imagine our family with out you there. It will never be the same and that breaks my heart. I know we will see you again and that is what keeps me going. I love you bro! May you rest in peace! Love, Your Sis-

My old friend, I'm sorry I couldn't escape from the American dream to see you one last time. I am so upset by this news. I remember the first day you showed up from GA. We played bicycle tag in those crappy condos where we lived in Murray. We were friends ever since. Sometimes we bickered and brawled, but always friends. We had so many good times in our early years. We had so many laughs. Our lives consisted of going to school and figuring out what type of mischief would be cause on our weekends. I haven't seen you in 20 years, but I actually talk about you all the time. I talk to my 4 kids about respect and manners, and it always leads to my friend Travis. He was undoubtedly the most polite young man I ever knew. You have always been and example to me on how to treat others. Glen and Linda, Thank you for raising such a fine example for all of us he left behind. I am so sorry for your incredible loss. This world is a bit darker without him here. He will truly be missed.

Ballingham family - I am saddened to learn of Travis' passing. I was good friends with Travis when we were in grade school at Brockett Elementary in Tucker, GA. I remember how sad I was when Travis was moving to Utah. I can tell from the other comments that Travis was an awesome man. I am deeply sorry for your loss but please know that Travis' friendship from way back in the 1970's/1980's is not forgotten. May God bless you all.
