Trichelle Houskeeper Marshall

Trichelle Houskeeper Marshall was born on April 20, 1970, to Kathleen Parker Houskeeper and James Houskeeper in Salt Lake City, Utah. She passed away due to an unexpected health complication at University Hospital in Salt Lake City on July 3, 2026, surrounded by loved ones. She was 56 years old. She is preceded in death by her father, James, her eldest brother, Shane, and her niece, Jennie Marie. Trichelle is survived by her three children, John, Jake, and Kate, her grandchildren JD, Brian, Chris and Jasper Lee, as well as her mother, Kathy, older sister, Suzette, and younger brother, Trent.

Trichelle loved her children more than anything in the world and often said they were the truest loves of her life. Nothing made her as happy as spending time with them and laughing together. Chris Farley’s “Van Down By the River” was a favorite amongst her and her children to quote together even into adulthood.

She had a fun loving and great sense of humor that could lighten the mood instantly. She was capable of impressive facial contortions, impersonations, and storytelling. Despite a series of endless storms in her life, she loved to laugh and often looked for humor, no matter how dark things were.

Trichelle was selfless and always had a giant heart, listened the most, and loved the biggest. Showing love and kindness to others was so natural for her. Even if someone seemingly did not deserve it, she would give any person the time of day. Choosing to be there for people, even if all she could do was listen, was her brightest quality and her favorite way to help others. Even while she was facing the most difficult personal challenges, Trichelle was the person you could count on if you needed somebody to listen to you and empathize with your struggles.

She was very comforting, gentle and had a knack for compromise and peace making. Trichelle was able to view the perspectives of others with ease and had so much compassion for those who were struggling. She often extended grace to those around her and always looked for the good in others. Her openness and authenticity made others feel comfortable to be themselves too, and she knew how to create an inviting atmosphere just by being herself.

Trichelle was SO expressive and artistic! She had a passion for writing, theatre, singing, and performance and idolized vocalists such as Karen Carpenter, Dolly Parton, and Julie Andrews. Her favorite starring role had been the time she played Lola from “Damn Yankees,” and she dreamed of becoming a professional actress and singer on Broadway. She greatly enjoyed participating in karaoke, local choirs and singing competitions throughout her life. Her voice had a smooth, rich and uplifting quality that felt like being wrapped up in a cozy blanket.

Along those same artistic lines, Trichelle had a great sense of style and flair! She loved to dress up and had an impressive collection of clothing and accessories, including many dresses, hats, shoes, jewelry, and, of course, her beloved tiaras. Trichelle also loved to decorate her home and had a knack for coordinating, with her biggest inspiration being vintage Victorian.

Trichelle undeservingly faced many challenges in her life and often battled against depression and autoimmune diseases. She had recently ignited a passion for arts and crafts as an outlet for healing, alongside birdwatching and feeding peanuts to local squirrels.

She was frequently tired and in pain, but despite this, she had incredible tenacity and the ability to look for the beauty in life. No matter how many times a storm knocked her down, she always found a way to get back up and start over from scratch.

While we are heartbroken over her sudden passing, we are relieved that she is no longer suffering and is finally resting gently. She was full of love and grace, and her example is one that left an impression on countless people. Her passing is felt deeply by her children, family and friends, but the memory of her warm, uplifting voice, gentle hugs, and bright smile will be cherished always.

We love you so much, our dear mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, auntie, and friend. You are the kind of person who is worth celebrating and remembering. We are so proud of you for putting up a fight and rising above a series of endless storms time and time again. You are in our hearts, always.
