Our loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend passed away on October 24, 2012 in Salt Lake City, UT surrounded by her family. She has found freedom from the pain and sadness she endured after a car accident on May 12, 2012. Trixie was born a "trick-or-treat" baby in Salt Lake City on October 31, 1951. She attended South High School and went on to Weber State College. On August 12, 1983 she married Biff McGuire, and they had three children Murray, Heather and Kyle.
Trixie loved photography, and you could always find her behind the camera. She found a passion for technology and computers later in life. Trixie spent her life helping everyone around her, and never turned anyone down. She was a caring and loving soul, and was well known for "pop-in" visits to check up on the people she loved.
Trixie is survived by her husband Biff; children Murray, Heather (Jake), Kyle (Charlotte); siblings Alice (Charles), Mike (Sherri), Pearl (Don), Cindy (Ed) and Kelly. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her mother Betty; father William; siblings David, Rosella, Louie and Barbara.
A wake will be held on Friday, November 2, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 S. 900 E., Salt Lake City.

Trixie and I were good friends at Glendale Jr High. She was always so fun to be around! We would walk home after school laughing all the way. The time she spent in my life will always be cherished! I am so sorry for your loss. May God's love wrap around you and hold you up.

I grew up living next door to the Short family, and although Trixie was older than me and I don't remember her very well, I know she was a friend of my older sisters, Laura and Jenny. Losing a loved one is never easy, but I pray God's peace and comforting spirit be with all her loved ones and family.
