Tyler Kay Tucker Rasmussen

November 8, 1994 - September 5, 2022

Tyler Kay Tucker Rasmussen was born November 8th, 1994, to Arthur Moses Tucker and Tanica Lee Salisbury-Tucker.  From the moment she came into this world, she was full of life, energy, and joy, even her perfect apple cheeks would glow!  Tyler lived and attended school in Huntington, Utah until she was 14 when she moved with her grandparents John and Terry Salisbury to Lehi. Tyler graduated from Lehi High School in 2012.  Tyler spent at least half of her life running from one activity to the next. Ty was a beautiful dancer, gymnast, softball player, cheerleader, and basketball player. Ty was always up for any adventure, from wandering around in the desert, boating, concerts, whatever it was-, she was the first to be excited and ensure a wonderful time to be had. It would be easier to capture what Ty wasn’t interested in or couldn’t do because everything she tried she found a way to master it. She made beautiful wood furniture,  clever DIY projects, quilts, repaired machinery and electronics,  creative drawings, and nurtured plants.

Tyler was a force of nature and was often described as a tornado, or a whirlwind because her presence and energy was so vast! Tyler was so intentional with her love, friendship and support to everyone in her family and those she connected with. Tyler had this beautiful ability to be as excited and committed about other people’s accomplishments and experiences and would do everything in her power to support and help people reach their goals and find their inner strength and potential.

Ty met Zachary Rasmussen and married in Las Vegas, Nevada on February 13, 2016.  Ty and Zach adventured from Salt Lake to Arizona to Huntington and then to their home in Rose Canyon. John and Rusty were born on December 17th, 2019.  As with most tasks she would take on in her life, she made caring for twins seem almost effortless.  She found such great joy in being a mother and gave them her whole heart.  She loved their life in Rose Canyon- the wildlife, the beauty and had big plans for a real homestead! She loved to find ways to make sure the twins connected to nature by camping, nature walks, seeing the ocean and spending as much time outside as possible.

Tyler is survived by her husband Zachary Caleb Rasmussen, her twin sons John Arthur and Rusty James Rasmussen, fur babies Charlie, Lucy, Rose and Juice. Parents- Tanica McCarthur, Arthur and Jennifer Tucker. Sisters Taycee Hope Tucker and T’Kiah McCarthur, Destiny and Shilo Tucker, and her brother Shamus Tucker.  Grandparents, in-laws,  aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews,  friends and many others who were fortunate enough to know and love her will miss her deeply.

May we all find a way to be more intentional with each other and love as fiercely as Tyler did-

A Celebration of Tyler's life will be on Thursday, September 15, 2022 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City. Guests are encouraged to use the parking on the north side of the building.

I never got the privilege to meet tyler, I know she has such a sweet soul, a completely contagious smile, and a I have no clue how she flawlessly took care of those beautiful boys. My condolences to all of her family and friends, saying I'm sorry doesn't do any justice so I'm going to leave it at this, fly high tyler. She will always be with you and your boys Zach.
