Vahan Abraham Hindoian
July 3, 1946 - July 22, 2023
Vahan passed away on July 22, 2023.
He was born on July 3, 1946 in Aleppo Syria to Mary and Abraham Hindoian. He served in the U.S. Army and worked at Intermountain Healthcare as an X-ray technician for over thirty years. He married Christine Neal on August 31, 1985. Vahan was an unapologetically proud American. He loved watching and playing soccer. He loved learning about other people and their cultures, and he was an ardent fan of antique cars. Vahan loved his grandchildren without question and enjoyed teaching them fun facts about life.
He is survived by his wife; daughter, Amanda (Matt) Fry; grandchildren: Charlotte, Samantha and Matt Jr.; brother Moses.
Preceded in death by his parents and his sisters Melva Emrazian, Rose Peterson, Manoushag Arslanian and Alice Hindoian.
A Celebration of Life will be on Friday, July 28, 2023 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City. Guests are encouraged to use parking and entrance located on the north side of the building. A viewing will be on Saturday, July 29, 2023 from 10:00 – 11:00 AM, also at Starks Funeral Parlor. He will be laid to rest following the viewing at Elysian Burial Gardens, 1075 East 4580 South, Salt Lake City.

My heartfelt condolences to Vahan's loved ones, may God bless his soul.my childhood first cousin Vahan and I had great childhood memories, unfortunately we had only long distance friendships due to geographical separation, but we kept in touch and met occasionally at happy occasions mainly weddings.
