Verdell Chamberlain

February 12, 1951 - July 19, 2014

Verdell passed away July 19, 2014 at home with his wife by his side after a battle with cancer. He was born on February 12, 1951 to Roland and Vivin Chamberlain. Verdell grew up in Orderville, Utah. Married his soul mate Mary Johnson on Nov. 27, 1977.

Verdell graduated from Southern Utah University in business and spent his working career in sales and marketing. His ability to meet and talk with people helped him achieve success in his chosen career and gain numerous lifelong friends and acquaintances. Verdell and Mary had just purchased a home in Mesquite and were looking forward to retiring there. They enjoyed traveling, particularly to Hawaii and taking cruises.

He is survived by his wife Mary; mother Vivin; brothers J. R. and Boyd (Janie); sisters-in-law Fran (Don), and Carolyn, brother-in-law Michael (Carol); and numerous nieces and nephews. Verdell was loved and will be missed by everyone. Preceded in death by his father Roland and sister-in-law Kathy.

Funeral services will be Friday, July 25th at 10:00 a.m. at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City, where a viewing will begin one hour prior to services. Interment to follow at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 4th Ave "T" Street, Salt Lake City.
